Captain Marvel Prop Prototype Includes a Reference to SWORD in the MCU
An official prop prototype of Captain Marvel's pager, as seen in the Avengers: Infinity War post-credits scene, features a hidden reference to SWORD (short for Sentient World Observation and Response Department).
Reddit user JohannSchmidt1943 shared an image of the prop prototype for Captain Marvel's device, currently up for auction on eBay, which reveals the SWORD logo etched on to the back of the unpainted piece.

SWORD was first introduced in Joss Whedon's Astonishing X-Men series in 2004. Whedon conceived of SWORD as a sort of mirror of SHIELD. Where SHIELD is tasked with policing Earth and keeping it safe from internal threats, SWORD looks to the stars and protects the planet from alien invasions and other external threats. The organization has since been closely tied to Captain Marvel, who runs the Alpha Flight Space Program.
In Avengers: Infinity War, Nick Fury desperately tries to contact someone using the old school pager (seen in the prop prototype) before he turns to dust. However, the pager falls to the ground and we see it connect to his contact, as the Captain Marvel insignia and signature colours flash on its screen. The SWORD logo wasn't visible on the device until now, but it indicates that the organization may have been secretly hidden in the MCU for longer than we thought.

SWORD is expected to make a more official debut in the MCU when WandaVision debuts on Disney+ later this year. While little is known about the plot of the spinoff series, Paul Bettany previously described it as "the oddest of all the Marvel endeavours so far." Meanwhile, Marvel's Chief Creative Officer Kevin Feige confirmed that the show will see Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff finally becoming Scarlet Witch.

Ryan Reynolds has launched his very own streaming service with just one movie in its library, as part of a marketing campaign for Mint Mobile.
Reynolds, who bought an ownership stake in Mint Mobile last year, announced the launch of his spoof streaming service on Twitter a few days ago when he posted an ad for Mint Mobile+, an all-new platform that offers "80 minutes" of "bingetastic unoriginals" to stream in "2003 DVD quality."
The platform is free for everyone to access at mintmobileplus.com, however, streaming options are extremely limited as the site only has one binge-worthy title in its catalogue: Foolproof, Reynolds' 2003 movie, co-starring Kristin Booth. Don't fret though, because Foolproof is branded as an all-rounder, with a featured spot in every single category on the platform, including "Original Originals," "Kind of Originals," and "Unoriginal Originals." Unsurprisingly, the movie also appears in every slot of the site's "Top 10." "Two minutes after launch and our crack data team has already determined Mint Mobile+ should probably be shut down by the weekend," Reynolds tweeted shortly after the launch. "We'll go back to focusing on premium wireless." Earlier this month, the actor re-edited Green Lantern and cut it down to a 27-second version of the movie with very little actual footage from the original release. Instead, he found a way to insert Hal Jordan into the ending of 2017's Justice League. While Reynolds' Green Lantern won't appear in The Snyder Cut, which will debut on HBO Max next year, fans haven't seen the last of the Emerald Knight in live-action. HBO Max is developing a Green Lantern series that will boast "cinematic production values" and will feature the ring slinger's archenemy Sinestro. DC FanDome is a virtual event dedicated to fans of all things DC. Whether it be Comics, Films, Games, or TV Shows, this jam-packed event will feature over 100 hours of programming for fans to take part in, including panels with people from DC productions, exclusive world premieres, behind-the-scenes looks at worlds and characters from the DC Universe, fan-curated content, and more. Here's the DC FanDome Schedule and how you can watch the panels live.
DC FanDome Part 2 Dates and Start Time
DC FanDome takes place over two days. Panels spotlighting the biggest movies, games, and TV shows aired on August 22, and an array of other original programming for fans to watch on-demand will be available on September 12. On both dates, the activities are scheduled to start at 10 am PT and 1 pm ET. You can head over to the official DC FanDome Schedule, create an account, and browse through all the programming featured. If something piques your interest, you can add it to your personal DC FanDome schedule and calendar so you can keep track of when it starts and where it will be broadcasting. You can watch all DC FanDome events exclusively at DCFanDome.com. There are six “Verses”: Hall of Heroes, WatchVerse, YouVerse, InsiderVerse, FunVerse, and KidsVerse. Each has its own unique theme that we will go over below so you can have a better sense of what to look for within each one.- Hall of Heroes: is where all the major programming will happen such as new content and panels about your favorite DC shows, movies, and games. This content aired in late August.
- WatchVerse: is where fans can watch hours of DC Content, from panels for shows and specific communities to screeners and live performances. This programming will go live on September 12, along with the content in YouVerse, InsiderVerse, FunVerse, and KidsVerse.
- YouVerse: puts the fans at the forefront and displays their art, cosplay, and other fan-made content inspired by the characters and worlds in the DC Universe.
- InsiderVerse: where fans can take behind-the-scenes looks at how their favorite DC Comics, games, TV Shows, and more were created.
- FunVerse: is an interactive space where fans can buy merch, and participate in other “fun” activities.
- KidsVerse: is a verse made just for kids.

WB Games Montreal’s New Project to Debut at DC FanDome
DC has unveiled the panel lineup for DC FanDome, a 24-hour event set to begin on Aug. 22, and among its lineup will be the first look at two long-awaited, rumored, and teased games based on DC characters.
As previously revealed via a single image featuring Superman in the crosshairs of the Suicide Squad, Rocksteady's Batman: Arkham follow-up will be featured in a panel on Aug. 22 at 5 p.m. PT. DC also confirmed the name for the game, a version of which has previously been leaked, to be Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

The panel description currently reads: "Will Arnett hosts the highly anticipated video game reveal from Rocksteady Studios, creators of the Batman: Arkham franchise."
Also confirmed to be at DC FanDome is WB Games Montreal's currently untitled game, the studio's first since Batman: Arkham Origins. The panel promises an announcement and first look at the game, which has long been teased and rumored to be a Batman game. The studio released teaser images for the game on Batman Day last year, followed by one additional tease of another logo and website earlier this year, only for silence to follow. After E3 2020 was cancelled, reports suggested that WB Games had been planning to show the alleged Batman game at a company-focused E3 showcase.
The Montreal game panel description for now only reads "Gamers! You won’t want to miss this first look at an exciting new game, and Q&A with its developers."
For several years now, speculation and some teases from the studio have led many to believe WB Games Montreal's possible Batman game will feature some form of Court of Owls adaptation, but the studio has yet to release any official details about the game.

GTA Writer, Producer, and DJ Leaves Rockstar After Nearly 20 Years
Lazlow Jones, a veteran writer, producer and radio show host for the Grand Theft Auto series has left the studio after nearly 20 years.
As spotted by Grand Theft Auto YouTuber GTAMen, Jones' LinkedIn profile details the split, noting that he left the company in April 2020 and is now working on a number of in-development shows for Disney and Netflix and "consulting for a video game company."
Lazlow Jones worked on many of Rockstar's most popular franchises such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and Grand Theft Auto. You may know him best from his in-game work, scripting and hosting many radio shows across the Grand Theft Auto series, lending his voice to V-Rock in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Chattersphere in Grand Theft Auto V.

GTA Writer, Producer, and DJ Leaves Rockstar After Nearly 20 Years
Lazlow Jones, a veteran writer, producer and radio show host for the Grand Theft Auto series has left the studio after nearly 20 years.
As spotted by Grand Theft Auto YouTuber GTAMen, Jones' LinkedIn profile details the split, noting that he left the company in April 2020 and is now working on a number of in-development shows for Disney and Netflix and "consulting for a video game company."
Lazlow Jones worked on many of Rockstar's most popular franchises such as Red Dead Redemption, Bully and Grand Theft Auto. You may know him best from his in-game work, scripting and hosting many radio shows across the Grand Theft Auto series, lending his voice to V-Rock in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City and Chattersphere in Grand Theft Auto V.

Hyper Scape Review In Progress – Virtual Escape
"Well, crap," I mutter, as I begin to run. It's far too late of course. My pursuers have seen me and are now riddling my backside with bullets as I try to duck and weave among the environmental cover that's slowly deleting. And then I see it: my salvation. Around another player's corpse is a Hack pick-up with a circle on it. I quickly slide into it and pick it up, cackling with glee as I transform into a giant ball and bounce away from the squad chasing me.
My laughter stops as I turn around and realize, to my horror, that every one of my pursuers has the Ball Hack as well. I continue to flee but I can hear the quiet thumps of their murderous bounces keeping pace with me.
If you've ever played a battle royale game before, then the goal of Hyper Scape is an old song and dance by this point. Players begin each match by dropping onto a battlefield with nothing to their name, forced to survive by any means necessary--whether that's searching for the best weapons, hunting and killing enemy players, or avoiding and hiding from fights. As the match progresses, the battlefield shrinks, increasing the likelihood of firefights breaking out amongst the survivors. You win by being the last one standing.
