Star Wars: The Clone Wars Finale Will Premiere on May the 4th
Now that the Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 is approaching its series finale, Star Wars fans probably have one question on their minds:
When Does The Clone Wars Season 7, Episode 12 Come Out?
Disney+ is releasing new episodes of The Clone Wars weekly rather than all at once, just as it did with The Mandalorian and all of the other upcoming Disney Plus original shows - a distinct difference from Netflix and Amazon's binge model of releasing a whole season on the same day. Season 7, episode 11 of The Clone Wars was released on Friday, May 1, and Season 7, episode 12 of The Clone Wars, "Victory and Death" will release just three days later on May 4 - here's the official plot synopsis for the series finale: "Ahsoka and Rex must use their wit and skills to survive the turbulent end of the Clone Wars."The Clone Wars Release Schedule
For those keeping track, here's the full Clone Wars release schedule for all 12 episodes of Season 7. Unlike The Mandalorian's confusing release schedule, Clone Wars' final season has aired Friday without a break until the series finale, which will air several days ahead of schedule on Monday, May 4, to coincide with May the Fourth - Star Wars day.- Episode 1: "The Bad Batch" - Friday, February 21
- Episode 2: "A Distant Echo" - Friday, February 28
- Episode 3: "On the Wings of Keeradaks” - Friday, March 6
- Episode 4: "Unfinished Business" - Friday, March 13
- Episode 5: "Gone With a Trace" - Friday, March 20
- Episode 6: "Deal No Deal" - Friday, March 27
- Episode 7: "Dangerous Debt" - Friday, April 3
- Episode 8: "Together Again" - Friday, April 10
- Episode 9: "Old Friends Not Forgotten" - Friday, April 17
- Episode 10: "The Phantom Apprentice" - Friday, April 24
- Episode 11: "Shattered" - Friday, May 1
- Episode 12: "Victory and Death" - Monday, May the 4th
What Time Does The Clone Wars Come Out?
Each episode of The Clone Wars will be released around 12:00 a.m. PT/3:00 a.m. ET, although some Disney+ users were complaining that episode 1 wasn't showing up for them as late as 12:45 a.m. PT on Twitter, continuing the trend of technical issues Disney+ has been experiencing after its initial launch back in November 2019 with The Mandalorian. You Can Buy a Baby Yoda Animatronic Figure for $60
Hasbro and Lucasfilm revealed a bunch of action figures and merch from The Mandalorian and Star Wars: The Clone Wars in advance of the annual New York Toy Fair.
Among the items on display were Mando Black Series figures including The Child, a variety of other The Child items (that's Baby Yoda to you) including an animatronic edition that is available for pre order at most major retailers for just $60, a LEGO Razor Crest set (that's the Mandalorian's ship, of course), a Darksaber (go Moff Gideon!), Mando's rocket gauntlet, Funko Pop! Vinyls, Build a Bear (Baby Yoda again!), and much more.
Check out all the new products of Baby Yoda from Hasbro, Mattel, Funko and others in the gallery right here:

During a panel at the announcement event, the team discussed how they didn’t develop Baby Yoda toys in advance not because they didn’t predict The Child would be adored but to preserve the secret of him for the series. They then went into full gear to meet demand, noting pre-sales were available three weeks after his debut.

From Disney's official press release: "In addition to dozens of products previously announced, a number of all-new items across multiple categories were revealed for the first time today. Highlights include THE CHILD ANIMATRONIC EDITION figure, which will be available for preorder at most major retailers starting at 1:00 PM ET today, Star Wars™ TROUBLE: The Mandalorian Edition and Star Wars™ OPERATION: The Mandalorian Edition games, all from Hasbro, a LEGO® construction set featuring the Mandalorian’s Razor Crest ship and LEGO® BrickHeadz™ Star Wars The Mandalorian & The Child 75317 building kit, and all-new offerings exclusive to shopDisney.com | Disney store and Disney Parks. These new items and more will hit retail later this year."
“Finding ways to engage and surprise audiences with this new Star Wars story has been a tremendous opportunity,” said The Mandalorian creator Jon Favreau. “And holding back on product development gave everyone the chance to discover the character affectionately known to fans as “Baby Yoda” together. This is something special in the age of spoilers. I am so appreciative of the partnership with the teams at Lucasfilm and Disney who are translating these characters into products for fans to enjoy.”
Here's an impossibly cute gif of the Baby Yoda animatronic figure using the Force:

Square Enix Scales Back PAX East Showing Due to Coronavirus
Square Enix has become the latest company to change plans for PAX East due to concerns over COVID-19 (a.k.a. Coronavirus), scaling back plans for Final Fantasy 14 at the show in particular.
While not pulling out of the show entirely, the company's Japanese staff will no longer be attending, meaning a panel session, developer signings, developer photo opps and a fan gathering will no longer take place at the show.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/02/07/the-outer-worlds-switch-version-delayed-due-to-coronavirus"]
On the Final Fantasy 14 blog, a spokesperson wrote:
"As the community may be aware, COVID-19 (also known as “novel coronavirus”) is spreading within the East Asia region. Taking into consideration the current situation within the region, sadly SQUARE ENIX has decided to cancel the PAX East attendance of staff who would be travelling from the Japan offices. This difficult decision was based on our desire to prevent any potential spread of the virus and to prioritize the health and safety of our team and our fans."
There will still be a booth for Final Fantasy 14 at the show, and experiences like the Ruby Weapon Challenge will still be taking place. Square Enix also has plans for Final Fantasy 7 Remake and Outriders at the show, which appear to be unaffected at time of writing.
This is the latest in a slew of announcements centred around concerns over COVID-19. Sony has pulled out of PAX East and GDC, The Outer Worlds has been delayed on Switch, and Taipei Game Show was postponed entirely.

Frozen Bird Discovered in Siberia Ends Up Being 46,000 Years Old
Siberian hunters stumbled across a frozen bird that scientists have discovered lived around 46,000 years ago, as reported by CNN.
The bird was in such good condition, the hunters originally thought it had just recently died. It has been identified as a female horned lark (Eremophila alpestris), according to the Communications Biology journal, and scientists from the Swedish Museum of Natural History, Nicolas Dussex and Love Dalén, used radiocarbon dating to reveal when the frozen bird was last alive.
Dalén told CNN it's possible this bird is related to two subspecies of lark living in northern Russia and on the Mongolian steppe.
[ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/02/12/new-tyrannosaur-species-discovered-dubbed-reaper-of-death"]
Dussex said there may be more discoveries similar to this from the region, due to how well permafrost preserved this frozen bird.
"The fact that such a small and fragile specimen was near intact also suggests that dirt/mud must have been deposited gradually, or at least that the ground was relatively stable so that the bird's carcass was preserved in a state very close to its time of death."
Dussex and Dalén also noted the frozen horned lark was discovered at the same site as an 18,000-year-old frozen dog named Bogor that was found last November. Researcher, David Stanton, at the Centre for Palaeogenetics, told CNN they couldn't tell whether Bogor was a frozen dog or wolf.
[widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-25-best-sci-fi-movies&captions=true"]
"We have a lot of data from it already, and with that amount of data, you'd expect to tell if it was one or the other. The fact that we can't might suggest that it's from a population that was ancestral to both -- to dogs and wolves."
