GTA Online Is Giving Away $2 Million In-Game: Here’s How to Get It

GTA Online is giving away $2 million of in-game currency to each player who logs in during a set period of time. From Thursday, January 30 to Wednesday, February 5, players simply need to log in to receive the first $1 million. Another $1 million will be handed out for all players logging in between Thursday, February 6 and Wednesday, February 12. A list of all weekly GTA Online updates can be found here, including information on new vehicles, discounts, and Diamond Casino rewards. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=every-ign-rockstar-game-review-ever&captions=true"] The announcement was made in a blog post on the Rockstar Games website celebrating December 2019 as the most popular month GTA Online has seen yet. More players logged on in December 2019 than ever before, topping daily, weekly and monthly records broken when the Diamond Casino & Resort opened in the game during summer 2019. 2019 was also the number one year for Grand Theft Auto V in YouTube video views, and an unnamed record was set for "engagement via likes and comments," according to Rockstar Games citing Tubular Labs. A similar promotion is currently in play for Red Dead Online as well. Players who log on to Red Dead Online will receive free weapons and hundreds of bullets of ammo for logging in the first week and a free license, bolas, and arrows for logging in the second week. Grand Theft Auto V was recently announced as the best-selling game of the decade in the USA and was added to Microsoft's Game Pass for Xbox users. While PC users don't have GTA V on Game Pass, they have this nice Vice City mod. Life-Size Baby Yoda Is Coming and It’s Cuter Than You Can Possibly Imagine

If you feel as though your life is lacking in life-size Star Wars replicas, but you don't have the room to construct a life-size Jabba or even a functioning R2 replica, Sideshow Collectibles wants you to know there is a way to have your cake and eat it, too. The $350 life-size "The Child" statue is available for preorder right now, and while it won't take up too much room in your collection, it will fill your heart to the point of overflowing with joy. Check out the slideshow to see more of this adorable little unknown-species: [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=sideshow-collectibles-the-child-life-sized-statue&captions=true"] The statue is 16.5" tall, and is true to its appearances on Disney+ The Mandalorian, right down to the tufts of fuzzy hair on its adorable little head. While 16.5" might seem small, this is a 1:1 replica, and its detail goes so far as to include the shift-knob from The Mandalorian's ship in its tiny, two-fingered hand. The galaxy's cutest inhabitant has proved such a massively popular part of The Mandalorian when Sideshow debuted the statue last night, its website crashed from the influx of traffic. Things are working as they should be right now. With the site up and running again, you can preorder now, but the adorable Baby Yoda statue's estimated release window is sometime between August and October of this year. In the meantime, you can always console yourself by rewatching The Mandalorian, or if you haven't yet seen it, watch the first season of the Mandalorian for free with a Disney+ free trial. Get an Exclusive Look at the Transformers: TCG Titan Masters Attack Packs

The next Transformers: The Card Game booster set, Titan Masters Attack, introduces new characters, mechanics, and a new type of card to the game. There are 46 new character cards in the Titan Masters Attack series, 43 of which have never appeared in Transformers: TCG. Take a look at the slideshow below for a high-res look at Sergeant Kup, Flintlock, a new Stratagem card, and more: [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=transformers-tcg-titan-masters-attack-exclusive-first-look&captions=true"] Similar to the Transformers: War for Cybertron Wave 4 sealed boxes containing a Trypticon card, the Titan Masters Attack sealed boxes all contain a Fortress Maximus pack with his card, head character Cerebros, and Cerebros’ head character Emissary. That collection of characters is the biggest change coming to the Transformers TCG. All Titan Master characters have separate bodies and heads. "Head characters give bonuses to the body, and when the body is KOed, the head deploys as a separate bot mode character." There's no rule on which cards have to be used together, meaning you're free to "mix and match heads and bodies" for your own playstyle. The upcoming Sratagem Cards also change up the game, letting you "further customize characters" on your teams. The cards are "keyed to a specific character card and cost stars," allowing you to modify a character "in an interesting (and sometimes unusual!) way." Stratagems also work with previously released cards, so you can start reworking and improving your existing decks with these new types. The Titan Masters Attack packs and boxes will be available beginning April 17, 2020 in most regions, but you can preorder them right now from Amazon if you're in the US. Netflix Releases Story Details for The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf

Netflix has shared new details about The Witcher: Nightmare of The Wolf, confirming Vesemir will be the movie's central protagonist. The streamer released an official synopsis on the listing page of the recently-announced movie, revealing the upcoming anime will serve as an origin story for Vesemir, aka Geralt of Rivia's mentor and father figure. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2020/01/16/the-witcher-why-season-2-wont-premiere-until-2021-ign-now"] The description reads: "Long before mentoring Geralt, Vesemir begins his own journey as a witcher after the mysterious Deglan claims him through the Law of Surprise." A young Vesemir was previously teased in the final episode of Netflix's Witcher series, as Geralt recollected a voice saying, "I've been waiting for you." He then responds by calling out Vesemir's name. In this case, Vesemir's short line of dialogue was delivered by Divergent star Theo James. So, it is not outside the realms of possibility that the actor also recorded lines for the character's appearance in Nightmare of the Wolf, though it is unconfirmed at this stage. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-witcher-explaining-all-the-characters-and-who-plays-them&captions=true"] This new movie comes from The Witcher's producers Lauren Hissrich and Beau DeMayo, with Studio Mir – the renowned Korean animation studio behind The Legend of Korra and Voltron: Legendary Defender. Presently, it is unknown whether Nightmare of the Wolf will release before or after the return of Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri in Season 2 of The Witcher in 2021. Overwatch League Chinese Teams Relocate to Korea Due to Coronavirus

Two of the four Chinese Overwatch League teams have relocated to South Korea in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak, with at least one more still yet to announce its plans. The League as a whole has cancelled matches due to be held in China in the next two months. Shanghai Dragons and Guangzhou Charge have both issued statements on Twitter regarding the relocation of their teams: “After taking into consideration our match and practice schedule, we will be temporarily relocating all our players and coaching staff to Korea effective immediately,” said a Shanghai Dragons spokesperson. In a similar statement, Guangzhou Charge said: “Our top priority is the health and safety of our players above all else. To that end, we have decided to move our pre-season training base to South Korea.” They added: “Earlier today, we moved our non-Chinese players to South Korea, while we expedite visas for our Chinese players to join them as soon as possible.” Meanwhile, Chengdu Hunters have opted not to relocate, but are taking precautions. “Once [team members] arrive at our training facility, we will check both player and staff members' body temperature and fully sanitize them,” a Twitter statement from the team explained. Hangzhou Spark, the last of China's four teams, has yet to make a public statement on its plans. Overwatch League organisers have since cancelled all matches due to be held in China in February and March, saying that updates on when and where those matches will take place will come at a later date. IGN has reached out to Blizzard to enquire about those moved matches, and Hangzhou Spark's plans. Coronavirus, which has infected over 7,000 people and killed over 170, is causing a raft of follow-on effects. China's biggest League of Legends tournament has been delayed, 70,000 movie theaters have been closed and, more curiously, mobile game Plague Inc. has topped the charts in the country, leading to the developer to tell people to go to the World Health Organisation for advice, not its game. Lethal Weapon 5 Moving Forward With Mel Gibson and Danny Glover

Producer Dan Lin has revealed that a fifth and "final" Lethal Weapon movie is close to happening, with original stars Mel Gibson and Danny Glover on board to reunite with series director Richard Donner. Speaking at The Hollywood Reporter's Producers Roundtable, Lin, who served as executive producer on the Lethal Weapon TV series, announced that Warner Bros. is looking to reload the franchise with the original team. [ignvideo url="https://www.ign.com/videos/2017/10/27/is-lethal-weapon-5-happening"] "We're trying to make the last Lethal Weapon movie," Lin said about the long-gestating sequel. "And [Richard] Donner's coming back. The original cast is coming back. And it's just amazing. The story itself is very personal to him. Mel [Gibson] and Danny [Glover] are ready to go, so it's about the script." The first rumblings that Lethal Weapon 5 might be happening surfaced in 2008, as it emerged that Shane Black planned to direct Riggs and Murtaugh's next adventure. However, after several rumoured changes, the project was squashed in 2012 when Donner revealed that Gibson turned down a reprisal of his role. [widget path="global/article/imagegallery" parameters="albumSlug=the-10-best-80s-action-movies&captions=true"] Lethal Weapon is the latest in a string of classic franchises being revived on the big screen. Will Smith and Martin Lawrence recently teamed up for Bad Boys for Life, the third film in the long-dormant Bad Boys series, which has exceeded expectations at the box office. It has since been announced that a fourth Bad Boys movie is in development. For more on Bad Boys for Life, watch an exclusive action clip from the film and then read our review of the threequel.
