Samuel L. Jackson Is the New Voice of Amazon Alexa

Amazon has chosen a new voice for Alexa, and it's none other than Samuel L. Jackson. The Hollywood legend will be the first celebrity voice featured on Alexa and will offer both clean and explicit versions.

If you've ever wondered what it'd be like to have the iconic Nick Fury give you the weekly weather report, hop on your Alexa and give it a try. To enable Jackson on your Alexa device, simply say, "Alexa, introduce me to Samuel L. Jackson."

From there, you'll be able to choose either a clean or explicit option — however, the more crass version of Jackson will cost you $0.99 (for a limited time, then it will be raised to $4.99). If you decide against your initial selection, you can always change it in your Alexa settings.

How the Star Wars Prequels Influenced Rise of Skywalker

Before the new trilogy was announced, Star Wars was in a weird place. The prequel trilogy directed by George Lucas had landed badly with fans of the originals, and it was unclear what the future of Star Wars was going to be. And so, when the sequel trilogy was announced following the acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney in 2012, the excitement was palpable – and Abrams seemed to capitalize on this by going out of his way to recapture the spirit of the original movies in his first Star Wars movie, 2015’s The Force Awakens.

Since Disney’s reboot of the franchise, many fans have started to reassess the prequel trilogy, while kids who grew up with Episodes I to III look back on the films with nostalgia. For all their faults, it seems as though the prequels have found a new place in the hearts of Star Wars fans. During a promotional visit to Tokyo for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, director JJ Abrams told IGN Japan that working on the franchise gave him a new respect for “how easy George

Christopher Nolan’s Tenet Drops Cryptic Teaser Video

Christopher Nolan's upcoming film Tenet just dropped a cryptic teaser video on Twitter.

In the silent video, the word Tenet spins around for 50 seconds as the background and font alternate between being black and white. The Tenet account tweeted the video without any comment.

Back in August, Nolan surprised some audiences of Hobbs & Shaw with a teaser trailer, which has yet to be released online. The 20 Best Netflix Original Movies and TV Shows

Even though Netflix is beset on all sides by competition both old (Hulu, Amazon) and new (Disney+, Apple TV+), it's still the barely untouchable emperor of all things streaming. Thanks, in large part, to the fact that it out-spends its rivals by more than double - upwards of $15 to $18 billion a year on original content.

Given that massive sum, and the sheer volume of Originals it has (most of which arrive on the site with no advance warning or fanfare), it stands to reason there's going to be some truly excellent content among the thousands of titles being offered up. But sometimes all the choices can be overwhelming, so let us help you with some suggestions! Here are Netflix's best Originals - both movies and TV shows.

Karen Gillan Would Re-Do Her Early Doctor Who Episodes

Karen Gillan has said that she'd like to re-film her earliest episodes of Doctor Who now that she's a more seasoned actor.

Talking to Fandom, Gillan said if she were able to revisit her character of Amy Pond, "I’d go back to the first half of the first series that I did and just redo that acting because I know a lot more about acting now. I was a wee child.”

Gillan was just 21 when filming her first episodes of Doctor Who alongside new Doctor, Matt Smith, for the show's fifth series. Since then, she's gone on to star in high-profile Hollywood movies such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle and Jumanji: The Next Level, as well as playing Gamora in the Guardians of the Galaxy and Avengers movies. She's certainly less of a "wee child" now, and a stronger actor too.
