Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Makes KOTOR’s Darth Revan Canon
SPOILERS AHEAD for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker!
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has officially made Darth Revan from BioWare's Knights of the Old Republic canon, as a legion of Sith Troopers were named after him.
As reported by ScreenRant, the official Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Visual Dictionary reveals that each 5,000-strong legion of Emperor Palpatine's Sith Troopers, which are part of his Final Order, are named after an ancient Sith Lord.
One such legion, "The 3rd: Revan Legion" all but confirms that Darth Revan, who was part of one of the best twists in video game history, was once a Sith Lord in the official canon of Star Wars.
Hideo Kojima Hints at Next Project
After shipping Death Stranding in November, Director Hideo Kojima isn't taking much time off and is already hard at work on his next 'concept.' A recent Tweet by Kojima indicates he is already starting on his next project, but doesn't offer many clues about what it could be (via PCGames).
In the tweet seen below, Kojima said he was "working on the next concept while no one was in the office." Alongside his tweet, he also posted a picture of his desk, which shows a Macbook, a rubber duck, a cast of Norman Reedus' head, and some other oddities.
Study Finds Mercury Contamination Occurred Before Dinosaur Extinction
New research shows Earth may have been contaminated with high levels of mercury long before a giant asteroid struck the planet, spelling the end of dinosaurs.
While some scientists believe the impact of the Chicxulub asteroid solely caused the mass extinction event over 66 million years ago, a new group of researchers has determined that other factors may played a part in the wipeout of the species prior to the hit of the deadly space rock.
Researchers on the University of Michigan-led study, published in the Nature Communications journal on Dec. 16, examined fossilized marine mollusk shells across the globe to discover "what appears to be a global signal of both abrupt ocean warming and distinctly elevated mercury concentrations" associated with the massive volcanic eruptions of the Deccan Traps in western India, according to a statement accompanying the study.

Though Rainbow Six Siege moves at a wicked pace and time is always of the essence, running and gunning can get you into trouble. Death comes quickly in Siege, so it pays to think carefully about your every move, especially when on the attacking team and even more so if you haven’t identified all opposing operators during the prep phase.

The Internet has done it again by mashing up two of our favorite memes from The Witcher series and The Mandalorian.
Reddit user DJMisha posted a video to the Witcher subreddit which features the meme from The Mandalorian where Baby Yoda appears to be messing with Mando's space craft radio.

Henry Cavill Kept His Geralt of Rivia Witcher Costume
Henry Cavill, the star of Netflix's new Witcher series has kept the entire Geralt of Rivia costume for himself.
During an interview with NME, Cavill was asked whether he had been able to sneak any of the props or elements of his Geralt costume home to which he replied, "I took it all home."
Sadly, our dreams of the Superman actor sitting around at home in costume where quickly dashed as Cavill also revealed the costume is simply too difficult to put on, especially when combined with the 2 hours of hair and makeup to top off the look.
Cavill also talks about his relationship with the horse who plays Roach in the series. The pair spent about six hours riding every day to build a bond. Cavill explained that talking to Roach as he does in the series was also easy as he talks to his dog, an American Akita named Kal.
