Disney+ Will Fix The Simpsons Aspect Ratio in 2020

Disney+ is now the streaming home for The Simpsons, but unfortunately, all 30 seasons are only available in a 16:9 widescreen aspect ratio, instead of the classic 4:3. This has led to some unfortunate cropping that killed visual gags. But Disney says that it plans to restore the 4:3 ratio in 2020.

“We presented “The Simpsons” in 16:9 aspect ratio at launch in order to guarantee visual quality and consistency across all 30 seasons,” Disney said in a statement (via The Verge). “Over time, Disney+ will roll out new features and additional viewing options. As part of this, in early 2020, Disney+ will make the first 19 seasons (and some episodes from Season 20) of “The Simpsons” available in their original 4:3 aspect ratio, giving subscribers a choice of how they prefer to view the popular series.”

Here’s How Long It Took Us To Beat Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order

According to our review, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is the first amazing single-player game we've had set in the galaxy far, far away in far too long, and it may be a while before we get another. So how long will Cal Kestis' journey last you? Two of us have beaten it so far (we'll add more as we go – a bunch of us are close to the end!) – here's how long we spent and what's left to do.

Dan Stapleton, Reviewer

It’s hard to put a pin on exactly how long a game like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will take to play through because a lot of that will depend on how you choose to play it. If you want to blow through it on the easiest mode just to absorb the story and puzzles you could likely wrap it up in around 10 hours. On the other hand, if you want a challenge and crank it up to Jedi Master (the third of four difficulty settings) like I did, it’ll keep you busy a lot longer. There’s no “time played” clock on the PC version but my ballpark estimate is that I spent between 20 and 25 hours, including one puzzle I got stuck on for the better part of an hour and what must’ve been 30 attempts to defeat the final boss.

Frank Miller’s Sin City in Development for TV Series

A TV show based on Frank Miller’s Sin City is in the works at Legendary Television. Robert Rodriguez is currently in talks to join the project, according to Deadline.

Rodriguez co-directed the 2005 Sin City movie with Miller, and now they are looking to re-team for this series as executive producers. It’s currently unclear if they will once again co-direct.

News of this show shouldn't be a surprise given that last year Miller regained the movie and TV rights to Sin City.

Joker Director Will Only Make a Sequel If It Has ‘Thematic Resonance’

The director of Joker has reiterated that no sequel is currently in the works, but Todd Phillips has spoken to what he thinks a Joker sequel would need to do to be worth making.

Phillips told The Los Angeles Times that a sequel would need that same dramatic heft that has been at the crux of what he believes is why audiences have been so supportive of the film.

“...It couldn’t just be this wild and crazy movie about the ‘Clown Prince of Crime,’” Phillips said. “It would have to have some thematic resonance in a similar way that

does. Because I think that’s ultimately why the movie connected, it’s what’s going on underneath. So many movies are about the spark, and this is about the powder. If you could capture that again in a real way, that would be interesting.”
