These MCU Stars Almost Played Different Marvel Heroes

Sarah Finn, the main casting director behind the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has shared new details about how Marvel Studios placed some of their biggest stars into their respective superhero roles.

Finn lifted the lid on Marvel's auditioning process in the November issue of The Hollywood Reporter, as she recalled how the casting team assembled the MCU's roster of heroes over the past decade-plus, as well as revealing the famous roles that almost belonged to other stars.

Reminiscing about past auditions, Finn discussed the possibility of Chadwick Boseman joining the Guardians of the Galaxy, as she admitted that the Get On Up star originally auditioned to play Drax the Destroyer. While it didn't work out, the casting executives called upon the actor when recruiting for Black Panther, as they felt that Boseman possessed all of the right qualities to take the mantle as the King of Wakanda.

While HBO’s Watchmen series contains numerous mysteries for viewers to ponder over, the strangest has to be the one surrounding the location of Adrian Veidt (Jeremy Irons). Hints have been dropped in the first four episodes, but Episode 5 “Little Fear of Lightning” finally reveals where the man also known as Ozymandias resides -- and showrunner Damon Lindelof confirmed it.

Warning: full spoilers for HBO’s Watchmen ahead!

At first, it seemed like Veidt was spending his post-squid explosion retirement off in the country living inside a lavish castle surrounded by servants, but before long we learned that he’s actually imprisoned by someone known as the Game Warden and we’ve been watching his attempts to formulate an escape plan.

Disney Plus ‘Continue Watching’ Feature Is Coming Back in the Near Future

Disney+ has been a massive success so far, with 10 million subscribers joining the service on launch day. However, everything didn't go completely smoothly for the service at launch, with users reporting numerous different issues and missing features. One notable feature that was apparently live at launch and then quickly disappeared from Disney+ was the "continue watching" option to pick up a show where you left off — but it sounds like it'll be back soon.

Don’t Worry, the Bob’s Burgers Movie Is Still Coming Out in 2020

After a Bob's Burgers movie was announced in 2017, fans have been patiently waiting for the Belcher family to hit the big screen. However, after the movie was left off of Disney's upcoming movies list, there was a minor scare that the Belcher family's big screen debut might be delayed or even outright canceled. But rest assured, IGN confirmed that the Bob's Burgers movie will still hit on its originally scheduled release date of July 17, 2020.

The brief scare came in the wake of a report by Cartoon Brew where fans saw that Disney had left off the Bob's Burgers film from its list of upcoming movies in 2020 and beyond. As you might expect this threw fans into a panic, with one fan even reaching out to the show's creator, Loren Bouchard, on Twitter, asking for some clarity on the fate of the upcoming Bob's Burgers movie. Bouchard didn't offer much of a reply, responding, "Just wait." This led fans to believe that maybe the movie had simply been delayed, but now we know there is no delay and the movie will release as originally planned.

Twitter Showers The Mandalorian’s Baby Yoda With Amazing Fan Art

When The Mandalorian was first announced for Disney's new streaming platform Disney+, everyone assumed we would be getting a show about a Bounty Hunter doing badass Bounty Hunter things -- not a show about a Bounty Hunter taking care of a small, Force-powered child that, for lack of a better name, the internet has collectively decided to call "Baby Yoda." (Yes, we know it doesn't make sense, but it's better than "baby from Yoda's mystery species," okay?) In what could easily be considered the greatest twist in Star Wars history since Darth Vader telling Luke he was his father (or Kylo killing Snoke -- what) "Baby Yoda" has become the driving force of this show.
