Emma Stone Wants to Make a Zombieland Sequel Every 10 Years

Some SPOILERS follow for Zombieland: Double Tap.

It may have taken a decade but the Zombieland sequel, the project that wouldn’t die, is almost in theaters. IGN was among the press outlets who recently chatted with director Ruben Fleischer on the Sony Pictures lot about Zombieland: Double Tap’s ten-year journey to the screen.

Zombieland: Double Tap reunites the four stars of the original -- Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin -- which Fleischer said “was always the intention.”

The cast is “why the original movie is great,” Fleischer enthused as he prepared to present a selection of clips from the follow-up. “We had this incredible group of actors, so to think of doing it without them; I can’t imagine what that version would be like. Maybe down the road we’ll find other survivors at another outpost, maybe we could develop that as a TV show, but we never considered doing this with a different cast.”

Free Guy First Look: Ryan Reynolds Is a NPC

In Free Guy, Ryan Reynolds plays a downtrodden bank teller who slowly comes to realize what is wrong in his life -- namely, that he’s a non-player character in an open-world video game. Man, that would seriously blow…

Reynolds (who plays “Guy”), Jodie Comer (“Molotov Girl”/Millie), Joe Keery, Lil Rel Howery, Utkarsh Ambudkar and director Shawn Levy (Night at the Museum) brought a first look at the film to New York Comic Con today, in a panel that was hosted by IGN’s own Terri Schwartz.

Things kicked off with a behind the scenes goof of the cast talking about working together, and Reynolds and Taika Waititi doing their best to not admit that they made Green Lantern together. Reynolds will never leave that joke alone. He knows he has gold.

This Is The First Death Stranding Trailer That Makes Sense

PlayStation has released a new Death Stranding trailer a month ahead of the game’s official release date. The new cinematic trailer is far more straightforward than any of the previous trailers released for Death Stranding, in that you actually can get a sense of what’s going on. Watch the new trailer above.

The new cinematic trailer for Death Stranding gives a pretty concise overview of the upcoming Hideo Kojima game. You play as Sam Porter Bridges (portrayed by Norman Reedus) as he undertakes a government job delivering packages across the fractured United States. Along the way, some weird stuff happens, Mads Mikkelsen is in it, and you can beat up grunts with your briefcase.

Free Guy: Ninja Joins Ryan Reynolds Comedy

Ryan Reynolds dropped a first look at his upcoming adventure-comedy Free Guy at NYCC today, as well as the news that several popular streamers will be appearing in the film, including Ninja, Jacksepticeye, Pokimane, and LazarBeam.

A poster for Free Guy was also revealed at the panel, which was moderated by IGN’s own Terri Schwartz.

It makes sense that personalities like Ninja would be a part of Free Guy, as the film has Reynolds starring as a seemingly regular guy who realizes that his life isn’t what he thought it was at all: He’s actually an NPC (non-player character) in an open-world video game.

The Kings Man: New Footage Debuts at New York Comic Con

Director Matthew Vaughn (X-Men: First Class) is returning to the world of Kingsman with the “there’s a space in the title now” The King’s Man, a prequel tale which depicts the origin of Britain’s super-secret spy service. And they fight freaking Rasputin in this one!

Vaughn, Ralph Fiennes (who plays the Duke of Oxford), Djimon Hounsou (Shola) and Harris Dickinson (Conrad) were all on hand at New York Comic Con today to talk up the film and show off some new footage during a panel moderated by IGN’s beloved Terri Schwartz.

Vaughn explained his thinking behind doing a Kingsman origin story. “I think it’s important as an artist to keep pushing your boundaries,” he said. “This is going to sounds pretentious, and we’re never going to win an Oscar, but … I wanted to do a love letter to the movies I grew up on.

Untitled Goose Game ‘Definitely Not Confirmed’ For PS4 and Xbox One (Yet)

Untitled Goose Game is honking all across the Nintendo Switch and PC, but it might be some time before the goose finds its way to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. House-House has told IGN that other console ports of the goose game are “not confirmed,” despite earlier reports.

“Definitely not confirmed,” House-House developer Stuart Gillespie-Cooke told IGN in an email after we reached out for clarification on a potential port. The question was prompted by an ABC Australia story about Untitled Goose Game in which a PS4 and Xbox One port were hinted at.

House-House has told IGN that it would request ABC Australia to amend its story, and it appears the story has been corrected.

Wheel of Time Cast Unite for First Table Read: Watch the Video

The cast of Amazon’s Wheel of Time series has finally assembled and read through the script for the season’s first episode.

Captured on camera for a promotional video uploaded to The Wheel of Time’s Instagram feed, the table read sees the entire cast of episode one sit together to act out the script. Principle among these actors is Rosamund Pike, who plays central character Moiraine.

The Wheel of Time is positioned as one of Amazon’s two contenders to Game of Thrones’.. erm… throne. A high fantasy series based on the novels of the same name, it features swords and sorcery in a world where the power of magic is reserved only for women. Pike’s Moiraine journeys with five other protagonists, and believes one of them might be the reincarnation of a powerful individual whom prophecies say will either save humanity or destroy it.
