Spider-Man: Far From Home Writers Reveal Original Ending Idea
SPOILERS AHEAD for Spider-Man: Far From Home
The writers of Spider-Man: Far From Home have detailed their original idea for the movie’s concluding reveal, which - despite achieving similar final goals - would have been quite a different, more down-beat ending for the webslinger’s second solo outing in the MCU.
Talking to the New York Times, co-writers Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers explained that they had originally attempted to make the reveal of Spider-Man’s secret identity part of the film’s final act, rather than the mid-credits stinger. Not only that, but it would have been revealed in a very different way.

A Switch Pro is Reportedly Not Releasing This Year
Nintendo has said that the Switch Lite will be the only new hardware launched this year, squashing rumours of a more powerful Switch ‘Pro’ device.
Talking to CNET, Nintendo of America president Doug Bowser commented that the Nintendo Switch Lite, due for release in September, will reportedly be the only new Nintendo Switch hardware to be launched this holiday. Bowser said the original Switch hardware won’t get an upgrade right now.
Nintendo Switch "Pro" Delayed?
This goes against a report from The Wall Street Journal, which stated that both a cheaper and “enhanced” version of the Nintendo Switch would be released as early as this summer. While the Nintendo Switch Lite misses that summer window, it does match the specifications reported by The Wall Street Journal of a redesigned, cheaper console lacking vibration and positioned as a 3DS successor. With that in mind, there’s still potential that the publication's reports of an upgraded version of the Switch could still prove credible, with a new console arriving after 2019.

Here’s What Marvel Studios Is Reportedly Announcing at Comic-Con
Marvel Studios is indeed coming to next week's San Diego Comic-Con and now word is beginning to trickle out about what Phase 4 films they're expected to announce there.
According to Variety, Marvel Studios will reportedly formally announce The Eternals -- and likely reveal the full cast, including Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, Millie Bobby Brown, and Richard Madden -- onstage at Hall H at their panel next Saturday evening.
Namco Once Pitched Nintendo a Unique Looking Earthbound Game for GameCube
An interesting bit of Earthbound history was just revealed on Twitter courtesy of Baten Kaitos director Yasuyuki Honne. During Honne’s stint at Namco, he apparently pitched Nintendo a concept for a Mother game on the Nintendo GameCube. It had a distinct art style, to say the least.
Honne revealed this secret Earthbound game in celebration of a new book about the late Nintendo president Satoru Iwata that was just released in Japan last week. Japanese lifestyle company Hobonichi, founded by Earthbound creator Shigesato Itoi, published the book about Iwata.
Marvel Reportedly Casts Stranger Things’ Millie Bobby Brown in The Eternals
Millie Bobby Brown -- who plays "Eleven" on Netflix's Stranger Things and recently starred in Godzilla: King of the Monsters -- has reportedly been cast in Marvel's The Eternals.
According to Variety, Brown will join Angelina Jolie, Kumail Nanjiani, and Richard Madden in the cosmic comic book movie. (Disney had not responded to IGN's request for comment at time of publish.)
Keanu Reeves and Salma Hayek are also reportedly up for roles in the Disney film, which will be directed by Chloé Zhao.
