Why Marvel’s Immortal Hulk Is a Terrifyingly Good Comic
The most buzzed about superhero comic right now isn’t an epic event series or a hyped run by the hottest new creators on the scene. The comic that everyone is talking about is a slow-burn horror tale that deals with death, abuse, religion, and cosmic horror from Marvel Comics. Since debuting last year, The Immortal Hulk has been a commercial and critical success that has lead to multiple printings of each issue and reports that, in some comic stores, it outsells titles like Batman and The Amazing Spider-Man. A year ago, nobody would’ve guessed a Hulk comic that features very little smashing while it wallows in bleak darkness would be the talk of the industry, but here we are. The Immortal Hulk is one of the best superhero comics being published because it’s smart, philosophical, scary, and perfectly structured.
We Saw Three Creepy Scenes From the New Annabelle Movie
Some spoilers ahead for Annabelle Comes Home.
James Wan's demonic doll Annabelle has been a breakout star of the Conjuring franchise ever since her first appearance in the opening of the first film about the real life paranormal investigators, Ed and Lorraine Warren. She has since spawned her own spin-off series and in her upcoming third film, Annabelle Comes Home, fans get to learn about the true power of Annabelle after the Warrens make the mistake of putting her in their dangerous artifact room.
During a visit to Warner Bros. Studios, IGN was among the press invited to visit with director Gary Dauberman in his editing bay and get a sneak peek at three spooky sequences from the newest entry into the ever sprawling Conjuring-verse.

Comparing the FF7 Remake and Original Character Designs
We’ve looked at a lot of Clouds over the years. There was that first, blocky boy who jumped off a train and into our hearts. Then came the wolfish up-scale in Advent Children. And most recently, a fresh-faced teen in the trailers for the simply named Remake.
All the characters of Final Fantasy 7 have seen multiple updates to their designs across the years. Let’s take a peek at how their newest looks compare to their origins!

Road Rash II, Strider Coming to Sega Genesis Mini
We haven't even gotten to E3 2019 yet but we're already getting big gaming announcements. Sega revealed the final list of games for the Sega Genesis Mini, and even added an extra surprise: instead of the 40 games it initially promised, Sega announced an additional 12 today, bringing the total number of Genesis classics to 42.
Among the newly announced games are Road Rash II and the 8MB wonder, Strider. Perhaps even cooler is the addition of games that never officially came to the Sega Genesis, including Monster World IV, Tetris, and Darius. Sega said E3 2019 attendees will be among the first in the world to play the Genesis port of Tetris (Tetris came to the Mega Drive in 1989, but Nintendo had US distribution rights at the time).
Blasphemous Preview: A Blood-Soaked Love Letter to Castlevania
After putting some inanimate objects in front of me to smash, Blasphemous was confident enough in my abilities to immediately pit me against a hulking giant of a boss – the Warden of the Silent Sorrow. I carefully chipped away at him, trying to stay behind with swift dashes and dodges, until the Warden collapsed in defeat. As I watched the dramatic scene unfold, my silent protagonist – the Penitent One – took off his thorny spiked helmet and filled it with the red mess streaming out of the corpse, before jamming it back on his head in a shower of blood. Yeah, it’s that kind of game.
As the name suggests, Blasphemous won’t shy away from its dark ideas when it arrives on Xbox One, PS4, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2019. It’s vicious and full of disturbing enemies and more demented religious iconography than you can shake a rosary at. The now-corrupted world is brought to life with some truly gorgeous pixel art, from the fluidity of its character animation to the close-up cutscenes that would look at home in a classic LucasArts adventure game. Even in pixelated form, enemies are varied and disturbing – some bound to large angelic statues that they’ll try and bash against you, while flagellants flog themselves with whips before charging you. There’s also some gigantic… thing, wielding a large dead stag as a weapon while a giggling woman in a dress sits on the giants head. Or maybe that is the head? I don’t know, but the point is, Blasphemous is creepy, OK?
