The Most Surprising Details in the Pokemon Sword and Shield Nintendo Direct

Nintendo, Game Freak, and The Pokémon Company held a Pokémon Direct for Pokémon Sword and Shield this morning, and a bunch of new information - including that vital piece of the puzzle, the release date - was revealed. So...what did we think of the Direct?  We gathered our biggest Poke-fans, Miranda Sanchez and Casey DeFreitas, to hash out the biggest surprises (and a particularly unsurprising detail) that were.

Miranda: Any morning that starts with Pokemon Direct is a good morning. Casey, our Pokemon Master, what did you think about the Direct?!

Casey: My hype for Pokemon Sword and Shield is absolutely invigorated after seeing this Direct! They showed off so many surprising changes, and I am mostly here for them.

DCeased Reveals Startling Superhero Transformations

DC's heroes are responding to a devastating zombie outbreak in some unexpected ways.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for DCeased #2!

The series is continuing to explore the ramifications of a worldwide zombie pandemic, one caused by a mutated form of the Anti-Life Equation spreading across social media. And it should come as no surprise that the already devastating death toll from DCeased #1 grows even bigger in the second chapter.

DCeased #2 features the apparent death of Aquaman, who's attacked by a swarm of undead while responding to a ship's distress signal. It's also revealed that the Joker has joined the ranks of the infected, putting Harley Quinn in serious danger.

Need a Little Excitement? Slim Jim Macho Man Action Figure Has What You Need

Need a little excitement? Snap into this SDCC 2019 WWE special edition Macho Man Randy Savage action figure. It's almost certainly made from some manner of plastic polymer and not processed meats, but that doesn't mean this isn't one of the spiciest action figures around.

In fact, I'd go so far as to say this is the cream of the crop when it comes to San Diego Comic Con exclusives. If you're at the show between July 17-21, you can stop by the Mattel booth and pick one up for yourself. You'll also be able to preorder it beginning June 18 from Entertainment Earth for $29.99.

Ubisoft E3 2019: Conference Date, Time, Predictions, and Announcements

Ubisoft's E3 2019 conference is scheduled for today, June 10 at 1pm PT/4pm ET/9pm UK (June 11 at 6am AET) and following the pre-E3 leak of Watch Dogs Legion, we're more than likely in for another great showing. Ubisoft has historically been E3’s biggest risk-taker when it comes to stage shows. Could this be the year Just Dance no longer comes to Wii? We'll find out soon.

Ubisoft is the company that inexplicably introduced us to Mr. Caffeine, only a year after interrupting its own press conference with a hectic Battle Tag demo. Even in 2018, years removed from E3 celebrity appearances being commonplace, its conference included two live performances. Yet behind the spectacle sits an exciting catalog of franchises, and a track record of big E3 announcements. Its shows continuously balance the predictable with the unexpected, making Ubisoft one of E3’s most intriguing presenters.

Every X-Men Movie Rotten Tomatoes Score

The X-Men franchise has experienced some pretty wild ups and downs over the years when it comes to review scores. Unfortunately, it appears the series will be ending on a down note on Rotten Tomatoes, which generates aggregate review scores based on individual critics' reviews.

Dark Phoenix's Tomatometer rating has been revealed, and it currently sits at a very disappointing 21% after 73 reviews.

You can check out our own review of Dark Phoenix here, where we said "although not the trainwreck some may have feared given its mostly lackluster trailers, Dark Phoenix nevertheless brings the long-running X-Men franchise to a close in a messy and muddled fashion. The film is marginally better than the previous telling of the Phoenix sagaX-Men: The Last Stand, and it’s certainly better than the bloated and excessive X-Men: Apocalypse, but Dark Phoenix is still a disappointing finale for this nearly 20-year-old series.

Opinion: The Walking Dead’s Latest Tragedy Is Actually a Sign of Hope

Warning: this article contains full spoilers for The Walking Dead #192! For more on this new issue, check out our review of The Walking Dead #192 and our spoiler-filled recap.

Readers of The Walking Dead are no strangers to tragic plot twists. Few survive the zombie apocalypse for long, and that includes many of the most popular characters in the series. Few characters who were at the forefront of the series early on are still alive today. And with the death of Rick Grimes in the latest issue, that number has dwindled even further. But Rick's death shouldn't be cause for despair. It's actually the most promising development to occur in the comic in a long while.
