Destiny 2’s New Expansion Shadowkeep Announced
Destiny 2's upcoming expansion is confirmed to be Shadowkeep, which was leaked earlier this week.
The news was revealed during the Google Stadia presentation on Thursday, along with the announcement that Destiny 2 will be one of over 20 games available on Stadia at its launch. Players will also be able to transfer their Destiny 2 characters to Stadia from any platform.
The leaked reports of Shadowkeep described the expansion as being, "The next chapter in the Destiny experience arrives this fall as terrifying shadows descend upon a forgotten moon. Return to the lunar surface. Journey deep into a mysterious enemy citadel. Become a slayer of nightmares."
Stadia Launch Window Games Include Borderlands 3, Doom Eternal, Mortal Kombat 11, More
Google announced today that its Stadia platform will add games from more than 20 developers and publishers to its playable catalog during its launch window.
The announcement came during Google’s first Stadia Connect event. Stadia’s “Launch Window” begins in November of 2019 and extends into early 2020, though November access only comes with a purchase of the Stadia Founder’s Edition.
Game Publishers, Developers on Stadia
As of today June 6th, 2019, the list of developers and publishers with games that will be available on Google Stadia is as follows:
Baldur’s Gate 3 Is a Big Return to the Capital City of RPGs
Baldur’s Gate 3 is real. Almost twenty years after the story of the original games concluded in the Throne of Bhaal expansion, we’re finally revisiting one of the most important cities in the history of RPGs. And, as if that weren't exciting enough, Baldur’s Gate 3 is being developed for Google Stadia and PC by Larian Studios; the Belgian team responsible for the wildly ambitious Divinity: Original Sin 2.
As revealed during the Google Stadia Connect, which revealed Google Stadia's price, launch month, and more, right now all Larian has to show is a CGI Baldur's Gate 3 trailer that, while not revealing any gameplay, sets the tone and introduces us to two key elements that will clearly play a major part in Baldur’s Gate 3’s story: Mind Flayers and Nautiloids.
Bethesda Threw a Party When Microsoft Doubled Xbox 360 Memory
Plenty of game development studios celebrate when they launch a game or hit a big milestone. Bethesda Game Studios, on the other hand, threw a “double the memory” party when Microsoft committed to doing just that on the Xbox 360. It might have even saved The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion from having to cut its scale back dramatically.
"Because with
: Oblivion, you can only imagine
,” Bethesda director Todd Howard told IGN. “When they told us, we threw a party. I have pictures from the party. We had a 'double the memory party' in the studio. We got drinks. I think it was the only time we've ever done that, someone calls and says 'Yo, OK, we've upped the hardware.'"
Swamp Thing Reportedly Canceled Already by DC Universe
DC Universe has reportedly cancelled Swamp Thing after only one episode into its first season, as first reported by The GWW and confirmed by Bloody Disgusting and Variety.
One source said the reason is due to differing creative styles between multiple people involved, with one person wanting the show to connect more in the horror genre, and another wanting a "weekly procedural." The source also said its due to Warner Bros. reevaluating their subscription streaming service.
Darksiders Genesis Announced
THQ Nordic and Airship Syndicate have announced Darksiders Genesis, a spin-off of the mainline Darksiders series. It will be released later this year for PS4, Xbox One (including Xbox One X), Nintendo Switch, PC, and Google Stadia. No pre-order information is available just yet. Genesis is a top-down action-RPG in the vein of Diablo, in which you'll dungeon-crawl your way to victory, killing monsters and collecting loot.
You'll get to play as a new Horseman of the Apocalypse, Strife. According to THQ, Strife "is called upon to save humankind from certain destruction at the hands of Lucifer" and Genesis will feature "intense combat, exploration, puzzle-solving, epic boss battles and serpent holes from heaven to hell." Check out the cinematic teaser trailer at the top of this page.
Zelda: Link’s Awakening, Pokemon, and More Playable at E3

A tweet from Nintendo of America reveals that Luigi's Mansion 3 will also be playable at the company's booth in LA's convention center, as well as Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order. The tweet also promises more, so expect playable builds of more than these games.

Final Fantasy Original Soundtracks Now Available on Spotify
The soundtracks for every mainline Final Fantasy game, plus several of the spin-offs, are now available to stream on Spotify.
Included are the original soundtracks for Final Fantasy through to Final Fantasy XV, along with popular side games such as Final Fantasy Tactics, Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII, and Dissidia Final Fantasy. It’s bad news for any Dirge of Cerberus fans, though, as the third-person action game Final Fantasy VII spin-off hasn’t made the cut.
Collectively, the 46 albums make up days-worth of music, with the majority of it coming from legendary video game composer Nobuo Uematsu.
To find them, search for ‘Final Fantasy original soundtrack’ on Spotify and filter by albums. This will help you find the official albums themselves, rather than playlists put together by fans.
