Baldur’s Gate 3 Dev Won’t ‘Participate in the Exclusivity Game’
Baldur’s Gate 3 was officially revealed during the Google Stadia Connect conference today, but it will not be a Stadia exclusive. Developer Larian Studios tells IGN that while its very excited about Stadia and wants to support the streaming platform, it also doesn’t want to take away player choice as a result.
“There is no exclusive attachment to Stadia,” Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke told us, saying that it would still be coming to other storefronts as well, and not require Stadia to play – in fact, Steam and GOG store pages for both of those sites went up alongside the announcement today.
What We Want From Borderlands 3 at E3
Going into E3 2019, we’re expecting a big presence from Borderlands 3. With an enormous space on the show floor and a ton of hype on itsTwitter account, we’re expecting a lot from this fan favorite. After getting some hands-on time during its preview event in May it’s looking like Gearbox has managed to tick all the boxes with wacky loot like a gun that sprouts legs and chases after enemies, a shotgun that can pepper opponents with sticky projectiles that explode in a bloody mess upon reload, or a rocket launcher that shoots corrosive hamburgers. The tone is just right.
At that event, we tried out Amara, a tattooed Siren who can summon ethereal fists and either grapple foes making them an easy target or cause a mini-earthquake by smashing the ground, sending a ripple through the earth that will shove them away.

Dying Light 2 Art Teases UV Light Mechanics
Ahead of showing off Dying Light 2 at E3 next week, Techland shared some exclusive concept art with IGN that demonstrates Dying Light 2’s UV light mechanics.
With the slider tool below, you can transition between two images: one of a bedroom in daylight, another at night with UV lights drenching the space. This bedroom interior is a Scavengers’ hub in the former Academy of Fine Arts - during the day, humans leave the space, but at night they stay in to hide from the infected.
Dying Light 2’s UV light is dead useful
UV light hurts and confuses the infected so they are easier to attack and kill, and turning on UV light at night ensures the infected don’t come indoors - UV flares can also be used in a pinch as a portable, time-limited safe spot. While the infected roam outside during the night, sometimes it’s worth exploring certain areas, as the infected's lairs are often filled with loot from before the fall.
Square Enix E3 2019: Conference Date, Time, Predictions, and Announcements
Square Enix conference is scheduled for today, June 10 at 6pm PT/9pm ET (June 11 at 2am UK/11am AET), and if you like Marvel's Avengers, you're going to really like what Square is bringing to E3. Months of speculation led to the official announcement Square Enix's Avengers game is coming to E3, and the biggest movie of the year is likely going to be one of the biggest games of E3.
After three years away from the E3 spotlight, Square Enix returned in 2018 with a pre-recorded, Direct-style showcase. The half-hour presentation featured 10 games in total, though it made only two new announcements: Babylon’s Fall, a new adventure from the famed action studio PlatinumGames, and Human Head’s The Quiet Man, which went on to earn the unfortunate title of Metacritic’s worst-reviewed game of 2018.
