Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Story Creator Tool Rumoured for E3
A Ubisoft fan page has tweeted about play testing an upcoming Assassin's Creed Odyssey community tool that will be supposedly by revealed at E3.
Let’s be honest, there’s plenty crammed into the over one hundred hours of Assassin's Creed Odyssey and all its DLC. But after a tweet from fan page @AccesstheAnimus and some reporting from PCGamesN, it looks like we might be getting some long rumoured community creation tools at E3 that could allow the addition of user-made story content to the game.
Mortal Kombat 11 Is Experiencing Lag Problems After Latest Patch
Mortal Kombat 11 players are reporting having trouble with online stability after a recent patch.
Mortal Kombat 11 players are experiencing an unusual amount of lag and an ever present disconnect icon in online matches since patching the game. As reported by Eurogamer, players who previously had good connections are experiencing lag where there was little before, and some players are even seeing the disconnect icon when they have three green bars of connection (the highest grade of wireless connection for MK11).
Many players are attributing this issue to the latest patch, but developer NetherRealm has taken to Reddit to explain that although it thinks there is indeed an issue with the latest patch, it doesn't believe it’s causing any lag.
Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair Announced
Team17 and Playtonic Games have announced Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, a 2D platformer follow up to 2017’s Yooka-Laylee.
Unlike its predecessor, which look inspiration from the 3D worlds of Banjo-Kazooie, Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair is a 2.5D platformer akin to Donkey Kong Country, with 3D overworld areas where players will solve puzzles. Across each level, players will aid in the rescue of Queen Phobee’s Royal Beetalion Guard.
The trailer demonstrates the new perspective and gameplay design, and Team17 promises more information will be available at E3 next week.
Destroy All Humans! Remake Announced
THQ Nordic has announced Destroy All Humans!, a PS4 and Xbox One remake of the 2005 action-adventure for PlayStation 2 and the original Xbox. No pre-order information is available just yet.
The new version is an exact remake of the cult classic, in which little green man Crypto comes to Earth and begins eviscerating Earthlings, cows, and anything else that gets in his way. It keeps its tongue wedged firmly in cheek the whole time and is probably best described as Mars Attacks! The Game. Check out the reveal trailer above.
IGN gave the original Destroy All Humans!, which was created by the now-defunct developer Pandemic Studios, a 7 out of 10. Destroy All Humans! 2 earned an 8 out of 10 from us in 2006.

The X-Men Movie Franchise’s Last Great Mutant Easter Egg
Warning: Full spoilers follow for Dark Phoenix.
Fox's mutant movie universe may be coming to a close as Marvel Studios takes control of the X-Men characters, but not before debuting one last fan-favorite character. Dazzler finally makes her big screen debut in Dark Phoenix, albeit only in cameo form and apparently played by Halston Sage (The Orville). She has no dialogue but is seen singing -- and using her mutant powers to generate a light show while wearing her trademark white outfit -- during the X-Men's party on the grounds of the mansion.
We'll never see this version of Dazzler become a full-fledged member of the X-Men since the Fox series is coming to an end, but her appearance is still a fun nod to fans of the comics. And if you're not up on all things Dazzler, here's a brief primer on the character.
SPOILERS: Dark Phoenix Villains’ Connection to the Avengers
Warning: Full spoilers follow for Dark Phoenix.
There’s been a lot of mystery surrounding Jessica Chastain’s villain character in the latest X-Men movie, Dark Phoenix. We now know that she plays the Marvel character Vuk, who is a member of the alien D’Bari race. But leading up to the film’s release, director Simon Kinberg would only acknowledge that she was in fact playing an alien, while keeping her true identity a mystery. But beyond that it was just one big question mark. Or one big X mark in this case.
But Dark Phoenix has now arrived, and so the truth is out there! While the White Queen, or Lilandra of the Shi’ar space empire, or even Cassandra Nova have all been popular fan theories about which Marvel villain Chastain might’ve been playing, the revelation that she appears as the little known Vuk from the alien race the D’Bari is a bit of a letdown.
Valuing Each Individual: Haruyoshi Sawatari on Working in Games After Final Fantasy 15
It can be difficult to have a voice in Japan, not least of all because social conformity is hammered home pretty hard right from the beginning of one’s schooling, if not at home before then. Students serve each other lunch and, allergies aside, everyone eats the same thing. Show up to class with a haircut that may be considered fairly mild on the ‘wild’ scale, and someone in the staffroom may straight-up take you to get it changed. As with many things, there are pros and cons to this: on one hand, individuality being somewhat suppressed can be restrictive of expression; on the other, it potentially gives rise to greater awareness and consideration for those around you.
Go to school. If you’re a square peg, just grit it out while you get beaten into a round hole. Graduate. Go and work for a large company. They’ll take care of you, pay your salary, contribute to your pension and insurance, likely ignore your feedback. Sometimes it can take something like a giant wrecking ball, rolling through and tearing up everything in a city to inspire people to see things differently.
Wearing a Hat for Your Audience: Koji Igarashi on Why Bloodstained Should Delight His Fanbase
There’s wine on the floor. At least, we’ve been led to believe that there is. Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night’s 2015 Kickstarter began with a video in which one Koji Igarashi shatters a glass of wine against a hard castle floor. Now, with the delayed release of the game finally close enough for its vampiric breath to tickle the hairs on your nape, he’s gone and done it again. Another glass of wine wasted, this time in the name of Bloodstained's release date reveal trailer.
