Sea of Solitude Is Full of Constant Tension and a Curious Story
Sea of Solitude's opening words, “I’m still trying to piece it together… but I can’t," are not just an invitation into a hauntingly beautiful world, they’re a challenge for the player.
Everything that happens in Sea of Solitude has an underlying meaning. Throughout the game, players wanting a strong understanding of Sea of Solitude's story need to piece together gameplay elements, monster design, dialogue, and more to learn what happened to its lead character, Kay.
Developed by Jo-Mei, a 12-person studio based in Berlin, Germany, Sea of Solitude is an adventure game that takes place in a world where humans turn into monsters when they get lonely. Now a monster herself, Kay is desperately trying to find out why this happened and – more importantly – how to turn back to her human form.
Jedi Fallen Order’s Extended Demo: AT-ATs, Puzzles, and Exploration
The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order gameplay reveal on EA’s E3 livestream had plenty of impressive moments, but gave the impression that it would play more like a cinematic but linear adventure with little room for exploration. Developer Respawn’s hands-off demo at EA Play showed what happens in the 15 minutes prior to when Cal Kestis meets with Saw Gerrera, and those more open-ended moments demonstrated how exploration with environmental puzzles and plenty of parkour will be part of the gameplay.
Jedi: Fallen Order is a third-person adventure set after the infamous events of Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith, in which Palpatine issues Order 66 and wipes out the great majority of the Jedi Order. Fallen Order has plenty of Jedi action – like Force pushing a hapless R2 droid into a Stormtrooper for an explosive start to a fight. And even though Cal was just a padawan when his master was presumably killed, it’s clear he’s become strong with the Force. The extended demo starts with him swimming through the shallow waters of the wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk with his trusty droid sidekick, BD-1, perched on his back. He scales the side of a vine- and- mud-covered AT-AT until he finds an entrance, slays three Stormtroopers with his mix of lightsaber and Force powers, uses BD-1 to get a jump on two unsuspecting troops at the controls, then uses it to help the rebels on the ground.

The Sims 4: Island Living Expansion Announced
During EA Play 2019, EA announced The Sims 4’s newest expansion: Island Living.
The Sims 4: Island Living will become available on June 21 on PC and Mac, and July 16 on consoles.
The Island Living reveal trailer showed off a dirty beach being cleaned up, a nighttime beach party, a woman turning into a mermaid, and more. It also introduces water play, allowing Sims to walk into the open water, ride on jet skis, float and even swim with the dolphins. The island also includes an active volcano - Sims who are feeling risky can live nearby and will likely encounter eruptions.
If your Sims want to take care of the island, they can become a conservationist to help keep the beaches clean and wildlife safe. Sims can attend nighttime parties, make special native drinks and interact with friendly islanders. Spirits who care about the island interact with Sims, and will be nice to them if you’re good to the island, and bad if you’re abusing it.

EA Shows Off New Battlefield V Maps, Chapter 4 Updates
During EA Play 2019, DICE showed off new Battlefield V multiplayer maps, updates and more.
The first new map, Marita, is set in Greece, showing off the tight streets of a rural town. Marita is an infinity-focused map, where hills and homes allow for steep, vertical gameplay. This is coming in July as part of Chapter 4.
DICE also showed off the new Al Sundan map in Northern Africa, which is focused on land and air vehicle combat. It’s a large sandbox area that includes an airfield, bunkers, and more. It’s described as “classic Battlefield,” where players will fight over possession of critical points. Coming June 27, day one for Chapter 4.
Later in August, other maps will be introduced and are designed to be intense and tighter for close-quarter encounters - something Battlefield fans have been craving.
