AMD Announces its 16 Core Ryzen 3rd Generation Processor
At AMD’s E3 2019 press conference, President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su noted how after her Computex presentation people asked her “is that all?" She continued, “gamers are never satisfied,” and sure enough, the 12-core R9 3900X wasn't all AMD had to announce, as Su revealed AMD also has a brand new 16 core Ryzen 2 processor.
Meet the AMD Ryzen 9 3950X, a 16 core and 32 thread processor featuring a 3.5GHz base clock and 4.7GHz boost clock. This amped up chip also demands 105W thermal design power, but its power needs are much lower than those found on other high-end desktop processors. For example, the AMD 16 core Ryzen Threadripper 2950X and Intel 16 core i9-7960X have rated TDPs of 180W and 165W, respectively.

Dune TV Series coming to Streaming
The upcoming Dune reboot from director Denis Villeneuve will be the start of a larger franchise based on author Frank Herbert's novels.
Following a report from Variety, we've confirmed that WarnerMedia has given a straight-to-series order for Dune: The Sisterhood. The series will be exclusive to the upcoming WarnerMedia streaming platform.
Dune: The Sisterhood will focus on the Bene Gesserit, a powerful, all-female religious order that serves as one of the major political forces in the Dune universe. Several characters in the upcoming movie are members of the Bene Gesserit, including Lady Jessica (Rebecca Ferguson) and Reverend Mother Gaius Helen Mohaim (Charlotte Rampling). It's unknown when exactly in the Dune timeline the series will be set or if any of the actors from the film might reprise their roles for the series.

Gears Isn’t Getting a Battle Royale – At Least Not Anytime Soon
In an interview with IGN, The Coalition’s Studio Head Rod Fergusson said there are currently no plans for Gears to get the battle royale treatment. The keyword here is currently.
Fergusson said his team is rather open to considering anything, but at the moment, they’re too busy developing Gears 5, Gears Tactics, Gears Pop, and managing other projects to seriously consider developing a battle royale mode.
However, if The Coalition were to do a Gears battle royale, Fergusson said they’d want to get it right and be authentic not only to Gears, but also to be a great entry in the genre. He’s also aware of the way popular gaming trends work, and Fergusson doesn’t want to jump on board the battle royale train just because it’s the hot new thing.

Game of Thrones Returning to Comic-Con for Final Season Send-Off
This story contains spoilers for the Game of Thrones series finale, which you really should've watched by now.
Game of Thrones may be over, but it sounds as if HBO intends to give the cast one last hurrah at San Diego Comic-Con. Deadline reports that Game of Thrones will return to Comic-Con for 2019 after skipping last year's convention, and if the report is accurate, the show is expected to once again occupy Comic-Con's biggest stage in Hall H. (Considering that Warner Bros. won't be highlighting its upcoming superhero movie slate and Disney is expected to save the bulk of its Marvel, Star Wars, and animation presentations until the company's D23 Expo in August, Game of Thrones would likely be one of the biggest titles at the con if the rumors are true.) HBO declined to comment on Deadline's report.

Does Dark Phoenix Set Up the X-Men’s MCU Debut?
Dark Phoenix is the final X-Men movie from Fox, bringing an end to what began in the first X-Men movie back in 2000, which begs the question, what will happen to the X-Men now? Depending on your familiarity with the politics of superhero movie rights in the film industry, you may have a few questions, so here are the answers to all of the big questions.
Will the X-Men Join the Marvel Cinematic Universe?
Despite Jean Grey’s hopeful words at the end that hint at a new beginning, that dialogue isn’t a wink to the audience that these X-Men will find a new home in the MCU. Dark Phoenix is the last adventure for these X-Men, which means all of the storylines have come to an end and the actors playing these characters will no longer reprise their roles (with one exception, which we’ll get to in a moment!). We will see the X-Men on the big screen again, but it’ll be a brand new version.
