Final Fantasy VII Remake Expands on the Story of Midgar
The Final Fantasy VII Remake expands on the original's story so much that not only will it likely be presented on two Blu-ray discs, but the story of Midgar is also considered to be its own game. FF7 Remake Producer Yoshinori Kitase made this statement at the Square Enix E3 2019 press conference.
During the announcement, Kitase and other presenters also detailed how combat works in FF7 Remake. The real-time action has a strategic element through command-based combat called Tactical Mode. Once two ATB bars are filled after landing enough attacks, time slows down and allows you to perform various abilities and – if Materia is equipped – cast spells. Using items while in battle reduces the ATB bars' charge.
Watch Dogs: Legion Does Not Actually Have Any Dogs
No dogs allowed in Watch Dogs: Legion
While Watch Dogs: Legion (Ubisoft’s near-future open world dystopian London action hacking game) looks to be the deepest and most ambitious Watch Dogs game in the franchise yet, there is one thing the game will not have: actual dogs.
Speaking to IGN’s Brian Altano during our E3 Live show, Watch Dogs: Legion creative director Clint Hocking said “There are no dogs in the game because if you’re gonna play as anyone, we would have to be able to support playing as a dog, because that’s only fair.”

Microsoft Aiming for a First-Party Xbox Game About Every Three Months
Matt Booty, head of Microsoft's Xbox Game Studios, has said that his team is aiming to release a first-party Xbox game about every three months.
Speaking to IGN's Ryan McCaffrey, Booty was asked if there was any goal or cadence at which Microsoft wished to release its first-party games.
Booty responded that Xbox Game Pass is "the main driver" for a release schedule as Microsoft wants to ensure there is a "steady stream of games" coming into the subscription service for both PC and console.
For Booty and Microsoft, "every three months feels about right."
"I think about like how long you spend with a game and just sort of the cadence of discovery there," Booty explained. "So if you can do a game every three months, and if a game takes somewhere between two years and four years, I mean, just think about things that have come out recently, you know, things like Red Dead and God of War need to be getting into five, six years. Right? But let's just say for the sorts of studios, like a Ninja theory or a double fine that two, three years starts to be the cadence, right?
