How Men in Black: International Connects to the Original Trilogy

Men in Black: International is a spinoff from the Tommy Lee Jone and Will Smith-starring Men in Black trilogy, and though it’s set in the same universe, the connections between the movies are pretty slim now that Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth star as the titular heroes in black.

Below, we go into full spoiler-y details about all the ways Men in Black: International connects back to the original movies. Spoilers, obviously, lie ahead. For more on MiB, be sure to check out IGN’s review of Men in Black: International, as well as all the aliens and all the gadgets in the MiB franchise. Daredevil’s Epic Fight Scene Not Eligible for Emmys

Daredevil Season 3's single-shot prison riot scene has been snubbed by the Emmys due to a technicality.

The fight scene in question is the unforgettable 10-plus-minute long session that sees Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock fighting his way out of a prison while the camera rolls continuously, never cutting to a different angle. The show is not on the ballot for an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Stunt Coordination.

The news of the scene's exclusion comes from the season's showrunner, Erik Oleson, who tweeted that "The TV Academy would only allow a three minute clip, so, unfortunately, that epic oner was not eligible to be shown for stunts consideration."

A Quiet Place 2 Will Focus on Alien Origins and More Survivors

The sequel to John Krasinski's critically acclaimed horror film, A Quiet Place, will focus on the origins of the world's sound-sensitive monsters, as well as the stories of other survivors.

The details were revealed by Quiet Place 2 star Brian Tyree Henry, in an interview with Observer (via Slashfilm). When asked what fans can expect from the sequel, Henry said, "I'm still trying to find that out, but I really think that what we'll do is we'll see more of that family continuing to survive and finding out that they're not the only ones."

Star Wars: Samuel L. Jackson Wants Another Shot at Mace Windu

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith saw Mace Windu take a face full of lightning and get thrown out of the window of a skyscraper, but that might not be the end for the Jedi Council member if Samuel L. Jackson has anything to say about it.

In an interview with Stephen Colbert on The Late Show (via Comicbook.com), Jackson said, of any of the iconic characters from his career, he'd most like to reprise his role as the iconic Jedi Master. "I'd really love to get one more run at Mace Windu in Star Wars," Jackson said.

Although the character's fate seemed particularly dire, especially after having his hands cut off by a conflicted Anakin Skywalker, Jackson makes the point that other Star Wars characters have suffered far worse and survived, most notably Darth Maul, who survived falling down a long shaft after being cut in half by Obi-Wan Kenobi at the end of The Phantom Menace. Maul returned, stronger than ever, for both Solo: A Star Wars Story and Star Wars: Rebels.

Cyberpunk 2077: Keanu Reeves Has Second Most Dialogue of Any Character

CD Projekt Red revealed Keanu Reeves’ Johnny Silverhand has more lines of dialogue than any character in Cyberpunk 2077, with the exception of the player character V.

Co-founder and joint CEO of CD Projekt Red Marcin Iwiński divulged this information in an interview on the E3 Coliseum hosted by Geoff Keighley. When asked if Keanu’s role was a big part of the game and not just a cameo, Iwiński said, "The whole intention with Keanu in the game was to have a very meaningful character that fits into the lore. If we looked at all the actors out there, everything Cyberpunk, it’s Keanu.

"We had a lot of back and forth, and we decided to approach him, it was about a year ago. There was a meeting arranged and we showed him the script, and he immediately got into the role and he really liked it. I think it’s really worth to mention that, maybe it’s a cameo? Maybe it’s just a short side quest kind of person? No. He’s the number two character in terms of lines and spoken text...

Does Dark Phoenix Have a Post-Credits Scene?

Dark Phoenix is now in theaters, which means you may be wondering, is there anything after the credits? While the X-Men movies have only intermittently included post credits scenes -- most notably Days of Future Past and Apocalypse -- they haven't been like the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies in terms of end credit scene surprises.

And with the X-Men now a part of the Disney empire, the current franchise comes to an end with Dark Phoenix (and, yes, 2020's The New Mutants is the final X-related movie to be released by 20th Century Fox.)
