The Riot Walkout: What They Hope to Achieve, and Why It’s Important
Earlier this week, somewhere between 200 and 250 employees of Riot Games, the studio behind the popular League of Legends, staged a walkout at their Los Angeles campus to protest their company’s use of forced arbitration clauses in ongoing disputes with employees over claims of discrimination and sexual harassment.
Protesting Forced Arbitration (the practice of contractually preventing employees from filing lawsuits in the event of a dispute) may seem highly specific, but this week's demonstration speaks to the Rioters’ broader goals for their workplace culture as well as continuing to call attention to the ongoing conversation around workplace environments in the games industry at large.

In Defense of God Hand
Action games are my lifeblood. They’re hands down my favorite genre in video games, and I can’t tell you how happy I am at this current resurgence of the genre with games like 2018’s God of War and Devil May Cry 5 leading the charge.
As an action game fan though, there’s one game that I’ve always wanted to gush about that has always seemed like a bit of a taboo, and I feel like it’s time we cleared the air.
So… hi, my name is Mitchell Saltzman, I work at IGN, and I’d like to say that God Hand, a game that IGN dubbed “awful” 13 years ago, is, in my opinion, not just good, it’s actually AMAZING.

New Ghost Recon Game, Breakpoint, Allegedly Leaked by Ubisoft Store
One day ahead of Ubisoft's Ghost Recon world premiere event, an alleged leak for the new game was posted on Reddit revealing the title as Breakpoint.
The leak came as an image that was reportedly taken from a listing on Ubisoft's online store, revealing the game's title.
The image shows the Wolves Collector's Edition, which comes with a figure of Cole D. Walker (played by The Punisher's Jon Bernthal) and the game title of, Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, along with noting that the edition is an Ubisoft store exclusive.
