Game of Thrones Fans Petition HBO to Remake Season 8
Game of Thrones fans dissatisfied with how Season 8 has unfolded have started a petition to remake the final season.
The petition titled "Remake Game of Thrones Season 8 with competent writers” on Change.org has, as of writing, hit 470,000 signatures. The post notes that creators "David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense. Subvert my expectations and make it happen, HBO!"
Some of the most popular notes left by individuals state that they don’t want Benioff and Weiss to go “anywhere near Star Wars” with their upcoming film and that they are upset that the writers decided to “trash 8 yrs

Chris Rock to Produce Saw Spin-Off for 2020 Release
Comedian and Saturday Night Live veteran Chris Rock is set to produce a spin-off of the Saw horror movie series, due for release next year.
The film will be directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, who helmed the second, third, and fourth movies in the original series. Once again, it will be a Lionsgate production.
“When Chris Rock came to us and described in chilling detail his fantastic vision that reimagines and spins-off the world of the notorious Jigsaw Killer, we were all-in,” said Lionsgate’s chairman Joe Drake in a statement
. “Saw is one of the highest grossing horror franchises of all-time and it’s one of Lionsgate’s most successful film series. This upcoming film will still be as mind bending and intense as all the previous Saw films. Chris conceived this idea and it will be completely reverential to the legacy of the material while reinvigorating the brand with his wit, creative vision and passion for this classic horror franchise.”
Why We Love the John Wick Movies
John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, the third chapter in the Keanu Reeves saga, hits screens this week. The story, which kicked off with the legendary assassin coming out of retirement to avenge the death of his dog, and then travelling to Rome to take out a target, now finds the character “excommunicado,” with a contract on his head.
So how did John Wick get here? And what is the unique appeal of both the man and the myth? We examine the facts… (Be sure to also read our John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum review when you’re done here!)
Spoilers follow for the first two John Wick movies!
Child’s Play Remake: What Makes an AI Chucky Scary?
I spent last Halloween on the set of a horror movie that was filming at a haunted asylum.
The film? This summer’s remake of the 1988 killer doll cult classic Child’s Play. The location? Riverview Hospital outside Vancouver, a mental health facility that local legend insists is haunted. But the vacated hospital wasn’t being used as any sort of creepy setting in the story. Instead, it was doubling as the basement of the apartment building where Aubrey Plaza’s character, single mom Karen Barclay, lives with her adolescent son, Andy (Gabriel Bateman).
In the film, Karen buys her son a present that seems innocuous enough at first glance -- a red-haired, cherub-faced Buddi doll nicknamed Chucky -- but that proves to be a sentient and very deadly being.
Fornite X John Wick Crossover Adds Keanu Reeves to the Battle Royale
Fortnite has been updated with a new Limited Time Mode that adds John Wick to the game, alongside a variety of skins.
Fortnite X John Wick: Wick’s Bounty is available for solo, duos, and squads, and awards one gold coin for every elimination scored. In addition, an elimination also bags you the number of gold coins your victim has amassed, so taking out a dominating player can be worth a huge amount. The top three Bounty Leaders with the most coins are displayed on a HUD scoreboard. The first player to collect 1,000 coins wins the match.
Possessing a certain amount of gold coins activates game elements designed to make the mode more difficult. With 400 coins in your possession, the Bounty Leaders can be seen on the map when they are nearby, moving or shooting. At 600 coins, Bounty Leaders can be seen by everyone on the map, and will have a glow effect around their character.
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine Documentary Coming to UK Cinemas
IGN is partnering with Cinevents to bring special screenings of What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine on June 26 in the UK.
For one night only, select cinemas across the UK and Ireland will screen the feature-length documentary which puts one of the most beloved Star Trek shows under the microscope.
Featuring interviews with the cast, crew, and writers of the Star Trek universe’s darker, edgier show, What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space is a celebration of seven seasons of landmark television. It is also an opportunity to see scenes from the show newly remastered in high definition.
More than a sci-fi history lesson, though, the documentary also sees the original writers develop a new episode of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which would act as the premiere of season eight were the show to ever return to screens.
