Infamous Game of Thrones Starbucks Cup Shows Up in Skyrim

PC modders have managed to extend Skyrim's cultural relevancy yet again with a not-so-subtle nod to the famed Game of Thrones coffee mishap.

In case you missed it - though that seems nearly impossible considering it's been one of the most talked about pop culture goofs of the past year - someone on the Game of Thrones production team accidentally left a coffee cup on set during a shoot for episode 4 of the fantasy epic's final season.

The error in the Game of Thrones episode has since been corrected, but the initial response on social media was immediate and all-consuming, with even HBO and Starbucks getting in on the fun. Now, the Skyrim modder JohnRose18 has added the infamous latte into Bethesda's 2011 open-world adventure (Skyrim also came out in 2013, 2016, 2017, and 2018, but this mod only works on the PC version).

Every Death on Game of Thrones

Warning: This article contains spoilers for all of HBO's Game of Thrones, up through Season 8, episode 5, "The Bells."

With Game of Thrones about to close up shop for good, it's time to look back at the massive mountain of dead bodies it's left in its wake (some of which come courtesy of The Mountain).

The most recent episode, "The Bells," left fans traumatized, as usual, due to the shocking deaths it contained (and also because of Daenerys' controversial - but not completely unexpected - villainous turn). The upcoming Batman film, The Batman, will reportedly feature at least two major villains from the dark knight's famous Rogues Gallery.

According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision newsletter, Catwoman and Penguin will be two foes Batman will square off against and sources close to Collider say Riddler is also rumored to appear.

While sources disagree on just how many villains the film will have, with some citing two villains, and others saying there might be as many as six, fans will have to wait to know for sure. As for Batman himself, Robert Pattinson is reportedly the "top choice" for the role after Ben Affleck departed to direct and star in Ghost Army.

Final Fantasy 7 Switch Update Fixes 7-Year-Old Bug

Final Fantasy 7’s Switch port quietly received an update that seems to fix one of its most notorious bugs: an audio glitch that has been reintroduced in nearly all of its modern ports.

The now-squashed bug caused the game’s overworld music to restart from the beginning of the song after every battle. It’s not the worst bug in the world, but can make playing significantly more repetitive as you’ll rarely hear more than the opening moments of any overworld song… and you’ll hear it a whole lot.

Frustratingly, this particular audio bug has been a recurring nightmare for longtime fans. It dates back almost a full decade at this point, first present in the modern PC port of FF7 from 2012 before popping up again in the PS4 port from 2015.
