Codemasters Announces New Grid
Codemasters has announced a new entry in the Grid racing series. Simply called Grid, it’s a refreshed look at the autosport series that started back in 2008 and has its roots in the TOCA games.
You can watch the cinematic trailer for Grid exclusively here on IGN, which features the Porsche 911 RSR experiencing a tough time on the track. Scuffs, scrapes, and shattering tyre walls shift and change in slow motion, hinting at a return to the rewind system first used in 2008’s Race Driver: Grid.
Grid releases September 13 this year, and you can learn more information about the game first exclusively at IGN later this week. For more on the series, check out our review of the most recent game: 2014's Grid Autosport.

George R.R. Martin Has ‘Consulted on a Video Game out of Japan’
George R. R. Martin has explained his future after Game of Thrones, and it may include a game of some kind.
In a post saying goodbye to Game of Thrones, Martin explains that he has a lot in the works, including developing eight shows (five at HBO, two at Hulu, one at the History Channel), some short films and, of course, his remaining books in the Song of Ice and Fire saga. But he also adds: "I’ve consulted on a video game out of Japan."
Martin offers no more detail than that, but that hasn't stopped speculation running wild. Most notably, it lends some credibility to long-running rumours that Martin has been worked with Dark Souls studio From Software (and its president Hidetaka Miyazaki) on an RPG of some sort.
PS5 Loading Time Demo Reportedly Revealed
A new video posted by Wall Street Journal's Takashi Mochizuki may have given us our first look at the potential power of the PlayStation 5.
Mochizuki Tweeted out the video, saying this was "Sony's official video comparing performance of PS4 Pro vs next-gen PlayStation."
The video compares the loading times and performance of Marvel's Spider-Man between a PS4 Pro and the potentially named PS5, and it is nearly identical to the description given in Wired's interview with PS5 lead architect Mark Cerny that revealed the first details of the next-generation PlayStation.
