GoT Showrunners on Giving THAT Character a Fitting Send-Off
Full spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones, Season 8's third episode, "The Long Night!"
The Battle of Winterfell was not kind to the Mormonts. Not only did young Lady Lyanna Mormont die a hero's death so did Ser Jorah Mormont. And Jorah's death was a fitting one, dying defending his beloved Khaleesi from encroaching wights..
Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss talked about the appropriateness of how Jorah's story finally came to an end during HBO's "Inside the Episode" following Sunday's third episode of the final season, "The Long Night".
"We talked about various endings for Jorah for a long time, but, you know, you think about Jorah, from the very first time we met him, he was with Daeny, and from that time, he's been mostly by her side," Benioff said.
How Game of Thrones’ Battle of Winterfell Was Always Going to End THAT Way
Warning: Full spoilers ahead for Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 3 “The Long Night.”
The Night King has finally met his end thanks to none other than Arya Stark -- and it’s a moment that the Game of Thrones showrunners have been building towards for a long time.
“For, god, I think it’s three years now we’ve known that it was gonna be Arya who delivers that fatal blow
,” executive producer and writer David Benioff said during the post-show “Inside the Episode” breakdown.
The Valryian steel Catspaw dagger can be traced all the way back to Season 1 where it was used by an assassin in an attempt to kill Bran Stark. It turned out the ornate blade belonged to Littlefinger, who tried to pin the assassination attempt on Tyrion. The dagger wound up back in Littlefinger’s possession, and he held it up to Ned Stark’s throat when he betrayed him to the Lannisters. The dagger was off-screen for a few years until it popped back up in Season 7 when Littlefinger gave it to Bran, and then finally Bran gave it to Arya.

Game of Thrones: Why THAT Big Moment Needed to Happen
Warning: this article contains spoilers for Game of Thrones Season 8, Episode 3. Check out our review of "The Long Night" here.
Game of Thrones finally delivered the much-hyped Battle of Winterfell in "The Long Night." Many characters had their big, heroic moments as the living made their final stand against the dead, but it turned out that the smallest hero of Winterfell made the biggest impact.
One of the best moments in "The Long Night" came when Lyanna Mormont, the fiery, underage ruler of Bear Island made her final stand against an undead giant. Lyanna may have joined the dead in this episode, but not before she brought down one of the mightiest warriors in the Night King's army. We'd expect nothing less from the tiniest badass in Westeros.

This article contains FULL SPOILERS for Avengers: Endgame.
Ever since a Loki standalone series was announced for the Disney+ streaming service, fans have speculated how the beloved God of Mischief might return to the MCU, following his seemingly permanent death in Avengers: Infinity War. Of course, some theorized that he faked out Thanos with an illusion of himself and then got the hell out of Dodge before Grimace destroyed the Asgardian ship, but the Russo brothers have maintained that he really died, so we're taking them at their word.
