Nintendo Switch Online’s April NES Games Announced

Nintendo has announced the three games being added to the NES library available as part of Nintendo Switch Online subscriptions, all of which will be available on April 10.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels, Punch-Out!! Featuring Mr. Dream, and Star Soldier are the three titles Nintendo will add in April to a collection that already includes Super Mario Bros. 3, The Legend of Zelda, and more.

Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels was originally released in Japan as Super Mario Bros. 2 and prominently came to North America as The Lost Levels in the Super Mario All-Stars Collection.

Punch-Out!! will see players take on the role of Little Mac, duking it out with the heavyweights of the World Video Boxing Association circuit, starting out with Glass Joe.

Game of Thrones: Will the Battle of Winterfell End in Disaster?

HBO has released another batch of teasers for Game of Thrones Season 8. As with several past teasers, the goal is clearly less to showcase actual footage from the show's final season and more to set the tone for things to come. And once again, things are looking pretty bleak for Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow and the other defenders of Westeros.

This particular teaser takes us on a tour of an eerily quiet and empty Winterfell. The ancestral home of the Stark family is covered in snow and littered with discarded personal effects. Our takeaway from this footage is that the much-hyped Battle of Winterfell is going to go very poorly for our heroes. Here's why we think Dany, Jon and the rest will suffer a major defeat before triumphing over the White Walkers.

Dangerous Driving Is Blatantly (and Happily) EXACTLY Like Burnout

If it seems like you've heard "Burnout is back!" before, it's because it has indeed come back already. Or at least, part of it did, in the form of Danger Zone, which was basically Crash Mode: The Game. It was a flawed attempt, for sure, but developer Three Fields Entertainment – a small UK studio comprised of some of the original Burnout creators – absolutely nailed it with their second try, Danger Zone 2.

And so they'd done it! Burnout's most beloved mode had successfully returned, but sadly, almost nobody seemed to notice. To Three Fields's credit, however, they have doubled down and are about to release Dangerous Driving, which is basically the rest of Burnout, outside of Crash mode. Road Rage (see the video directly below), Races, Burning Laps (evolved here to Heatwaves, where you can endlessly chain turbo together), Elimination, and an awesome new Road Rage-y mode called Pursuit (see the bottom video on this page) bring the rest of the Burnout suite to modern platforms.

29 Images From the Avengers: Endgame Special Look Teaser

Marvel released a new Avengers: Endgame special look teaser this morning, and it was chalk-full of awesome, significant images. We’ve compiled a slideshow of 29 images from the one-minute teaser showing off what remains of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.

Images included in the gallery below feature The Avengers riding in the Guardians of the Galaxy’s Benatar ship, a reconciled Iron Man and Captain America, a tatted Hawkeye, and much more.

For more from today’s teaser, check out how it confirms Iron Man won’t die stranded in space (probably), and why Thanos has a new weapon and armor.

No, That Love, Death & Robots Short Didn’t Use Live-Action

Love, Death & Robots transcends genres. It doesn’t want to be categorized, or appeal to niche markets. Instead, the broad appeal of Netflix’s animated anthology series ensures that there’s something for everyone. (Read our Love, Death & Robots review.)

For Tim Miller, creator and executive producer on Love, Death & Robots, this approach was a key aspect of the series’ development. It’s a vow that the show retains, and sits perfectly with the punchy, unconnected stories that Love, Death & Robots has brought to a wider audience.

“It really was designed to be something for everyone,” Miller told IGN, “which means a pretty broad spectrum of sci-fi, fantasy, horror, and fantastic fiction. I think I chose a few more sci-fi ones because that’s where I lean a little more heavily, but we tried very hard to balance it.”

BioWare Responds to Report About Anthem Crunch, Working Conditions

Following an in-depth report published Tuesday by Kotaku on the challenges of creating Anthem, BioWare had declined to comment in the article itself but outlined its response in a blog post.

Kotaku added an update to their story shortly after publication, that a summary of bullet points of the story was sent over to BioWare previously, but that the blog post from BioWare was posted shortly after Kotaku had published their piece.

Kotaku's Jason Schreier outlines in his piece that dozens of veteran developers have left BioWare over the past couple of years, with many noting stress being a driving factor. Some from the Edmonton office touched specifically on mental health, with doctors allegedly forcing the employee(s) to take a mandated leave for weeks or months – something that was reportedly known around the office as, "stress casualties." Some people would come back after a few months, and others would not.

PlayerUnknown Doesn’t Want to Make PUBG 2

Brendan Greene, the PlayerUnknown in PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, has recently discussed his decision to stop working directly on PUBG and how he doesn't see himself making PUBG 2 as, according to him, he's "done battle royale, it's time to try something else."

In an interview with GamesIndustry.biz at GDC, Greene opened up about how the last two years have been "an insane ride," with some highlights including the incredible success of PUBG, securing a temporary exclusive deal with Xbox, and changing the gaming landscape and paving the way for other battle royales like Fortnite, Apex Legends, and Call of Duty: Black Ops 4's Blackout mode.

Is Avengers: Endgame Teasing a Weakened Thanos?

The newest Avengers sequel, Avengers: Endgame, is almost upon us. And between the new trailer and recent toy previews, we finally have a good idea of what Thanos looks like in the movie. Not only is the Mad Titan reverting back to his original armored look, but he's now wielding a nasty double-bladed weapon as well.

This "new" look for Thanos does raise an interesting question, however. Why does someone with access to the Infinity Gauntlet and its limitless powers need crude weapons? Shouldn't Thanos be above such concerns by now? It's possible that Thanos' gear reveals a lot about the character's physical and mental state in Endgame.
