AMC Greenlights New Walking Dead Series with Younger Leads

AMC has ordered a third series set in the Walking Dead universe, the cable network announced Monday.

Like Fear the Walking Dead, the untitled show is not being described as a spinoff of the original series but a separate story, which, according to AMC, will "feature two young female protagonists and focus on the first generation to come-of-age in the apocalypse as we know it. Some will become heroes. Some will become villains. In the end, all of them will be changed forever. Grown-up and cemented in their identities, both good and bad."

The new series will consist of 10 episodes and will be filmed in Virginia this summer for a 2020 premiere date (since the original show films in Atlanta and Fear the Walking Dead films in Austin, we probably shouldn't expect a crossover any time soon). Walking Dead writer Matt Negrete will serve as showrunner, and co-created the project with Scott Gimple, chief content officer of The Walking Dead universe.

Avengers: Endgame Directors Are “Very Committed to the Ending” of Infinity War

Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors of Avengers: Infinity War and the upcoming Avengers: Endgame, have discussed how they are "very committed to the ending” of Infinity War.

Discussing Endgame at a panel hosted by Iron Man director Jon Favreau (via GameSpot), Anthony Russo said that "We are very committed to the ending of that movie. We think that stories lose their meaning and relevance and resonance unless there are real stakes.”

“For us, moving into Endgame, the story is very much about how do these characters--how do these heroes--deal with loss?” he added. “Resounding loss, true loss, devastating loss--that's what they've experienced in Infinity War, and that was a unique experience for all of them. How does a person move forward from that moment? How does a hero move forward from that moment? The way we wrote it into the story is, How is everybody on an individual level dealing with that experience, and then how do they collectively deal with it?"

Randy Pitchford Responds to Borderlands Review Bombers

Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford has offered his take on the flood of negative Steam user reviews being posted on Borderlands games, which has occurred in the wake of Borderlands 3 being announced as an Epic Games Store exclusive.

Responding to Gearbox developer Scott Velasquez, who tweeted his feelings on Steam allowing people to misuse the reviews system for protest reasons, Pitchford commented that “this misuse makes me kind of happy about 2k’s decision”, referring to Borderland 3’s publisher’s decision to make the game an Epic Games Store exclusive for the first six months after launch.

Marvel Boss on Disney’s Decision to Rehire James Gunn for GOTG 3

IGN spoke one-on-one with Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige on Sunday about Disney's recent rehiring of James Gunn to direct Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 ... and whether Marvel really would have recast Dave Bautista in the role of Drax as the actor and vocal Gunn supporter had dared Disney to do.

Walt Disney Studios chairman Alan Horn fired Gunn from Guardians Vol. 3 in July 2018 over controversial tweets the filmmaker posted years ago and Horn was the one who ultimately rehired Gunn last month after accepting his contrition.

WrestleMania 35 Live Blog and Match Results

Are you ready for hours and hours AND HOURS of wrestling because...it's WrestleMania 35 time!

Still reeling from Bret Hart being attacked by an "over-exuberant fan" (WWE's words, not mine) at the Hall of Fame Ceremony? Still shook from an over-exuberant Enzo crashing the ROH/NJPW G1 Supercard at the Garden? Well, we've still got sixteen matches to plow through. Two of which are Battle Royals. One of which has freakin' SNL cast members in it. So we're not out of the woods yet!

At least 'Mania 35 falls squarely in-between Walking Dead's finale and Game of Thrones' premiere, because I for one remember when, years ago, that all happened on the same night. It was not ideal. This year, 'Mania is free and clear and ready to serve up an overtly overstuffed card. But there's a silver lining: Kofi Kingston has a shot at winning the WWE Championship, Seth Rollins just might topple Brock Lesnar and walk out as Universal Champion, and "The Man" Becky Lynch is primed and ready to go over Ronda Rousey and Charlotte to bring her both womens' women's titles - in a match that will make history by going on last!

Captain Marvel Wasn’t Brie Larson’s First Time Playing Carol Danvers

While the cast and filmmakers were understandably tight-lipped about what happens in Avengers: Endgame during Sunday's press conference for the Marvel film, Captain Marvel actress Brie Larson did confirm longstanding rumors about which MCU film was her first.

"This film

will always be personally dear to me because it was my first time playing Captain Marvel," Larson said from a stage that included several of her co-stars as well as directors Joe and Anthony Russo and producer Kevin Feige.

"We shot this first so I had to stumble and figure out who this character was with no script for this and no script for Captain Marvel either and perform for the first time in front of legends. But it was incredible," Larson recalled.

When I Died on Game of Thrones: Death by Family

In honor of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, IGN is taking a look back at some of the iconic characters who've fallen along the way, and the lasting impact they had on the story. These heroes and villains may not have made it to the end of the road, but their lives weren't in vain - they stand as a fitting reminder that when you play the game of thrones, you win, or you die.

Roose Bolton wasn't the cruelest member of his family, but that's not a very high bar to set. Though introduced in Season 2 as a Stark bannerman, Roose came to the forefront as one of the show's key villains after viciously betraying the Starks at the Red Wedding, ruthlessly stabbing an already dying Robb Stark and uttering the infamous words, "The Lannisters send their regards."
