Real-Life Lobbyist Banned From EVE Online for Corruption
One of EVE Online’s prominent politicians, who also happens to be a political lobbyist in real life, has been banned from the game for engaging in corruption.
According to developer CCP Games, Brian Schoeneman - known in-game as Brisc Rubal - has been permanently banned for "sharing confidential information with a member of his alliance that was later used by another alliance member to conduct illicit in-game transactions."
As reported by PC Gamer, Schoeneman was until the ban a member of EVE Online’s Council of Stellar Management (CSM). If you’re unfamiliar with EVE Online, the huge space-faring MMO has its own government made up of elected players, who help CCP Games design new features and updates.
This Dead Game of Thrones Character Almost Took Down the Monarchy
In honor of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, IGN is taking a look back at some of the iconic characters who've fallen along the way, and the lasting impact they had on the story. These heroes and villains may not have made it to the end of the road, but their lives weren't in vain - they stand as a fitting reminder that when you play the game of thrones, you win, or you die.
Lancel Lannister was a background player for much of Game of Thrones' run, slowly evolving from being the insignificant cousin of Jaime and Cersei Lannister (and King Robert's squire) to Cersei's lover, before eventually retreating from King's Landing to recover from a near-fatal wound he suffered at the Battle of Blackwater.
EA Upload Cryptic Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order Teaser
EA has updated its Star Wars Twitter account with a new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order banner, as well as posting a cryptic tease for Respawn Entertainment’s upcoming game.
The tweet features an animated image depicting what appears to be the severed hilt of a weapon - perhaps a Lightsaber or some kind of vibro staff - laid on a stone surface engraved with runes.
Don't stand out. #StarWarsJediFallenOrder pic.twitter.com/dQ8bg4bqyf

Update: Borderlands Actor Says Gearbox CEO Should Fact Check Tweets
Update 04/18/19: Troy Baker has said that he "would love to come back" to play Rhys in Borderlands 3, and suggested that Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford should "fact-check" his tweets.
Following on from Pitchford's claims that Baker turned down the part of Rhys in the upcoming game, Troy Baker has clarified his position in an interview with OnlySP: “I said I would love to come back,” he said. “They
said I’m not coming back.”
“Their timeline tells an interesting story," he adds, in reference to comments from Gearbox. "I think it’s interesting that Randy Pitchford tweeted out that I turned it down, and then he said he heard that I turned it down. I would fact check before I tweeted out to the internet.”
Trailer Debut: Deep Space Nine Gets a Documentary
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine has often been regarded as the outlier of the Trek family of shows, a series that did things differently. It never had the same level of mainstream success as its predecessor, The Next Generation, and yet it has grown over the years to be regarded by many fans as perhaps the best of the Star Trek shows.
And now, a new documentary about the history of Deep Space Nine is heading to theaters. What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine will be released by Fathom Events in more than 800 movie theaters in the U.S. on Monday, May 13. And IGN has the exclusive debut of the film's trailer -- watch it above!

Batman: Curse of the White Knight First Look
IGN is excited to debut the first look inside the sequel to the hit graphic novel Batman: White Knight from DC Comics writer/artist Sean Murphy. We’ve also got the release date for when you can find it in stores.
Check out the cover and interiors by clicking through the slideshow below:
Titled “Batman: Curse of the White Knight,” the followup is an eight-issue mini-series that will release on July 24 under DC’s Black Label imprint. Black Label is reserved for standalone, out of continuity stories that tend to be a bit more mature, like Batman: Damned, which maybe got a little too mature.
Remnant: From the Ashes Preview: 3 Players, Infinite Replayability
Remnant: From the Ashes surprised me in a very good way. I sat down to play it without knowing much about what I was in for, and I found a third-person action game that plays well, controls smoothly, and is fun as heck in co-op. It’s part third-person shooter, part Souls-like, and part roguelike. And the combination blends together nicely.
You can choose one of three classes to play as – Scrapper, Cultist, or Hunter (I played the latter) – but the Gunfire Games team (yes, this is the same group that brought you Darksiders 3) told me that your class is really just a starting template. They aren’t a fan of games that lock you into choices, irreversibly, after many hours of play, so in Remnant, you’ll be able to customize almost everything about your character, from the weapons you wield to the armor you wear to the weapon mods you equip.
Anonymous Millionaire Wants to Run a Real-Life Battle Royale on a Private Island
An unnamed person with a significant amount of wealth is planning to set up a real-life, 100-person battle royale event on a private island.
Hush Hush, which styles itself as “the world’s leading luxury shopping marketplace”, has received a request from an anonymous person who is looking for a gamemaker who can help organise the three-day event.
The plan thankfully does not require participants to actually kill each other; instead players will be equipped with airsoft guns and touch-sensitive body armour. The last person standing is set to win a £100,000 prize.
The plan is for the anonymous millionaire to acquire a private island, which will be the setting for this real-life battle royale. The competition will run for three days, with 12 hours of competition each day. During the night time, players will be able to camp for the night. All camping gear and food will be provided.
