In honor of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones, IGN is taking a look back at some of the iconic characters who've fallen along the way, and the lasting impact they had on the story. These heroes and villains may not have made it to the end of the road, but their lives weren't in vain - they stand as a fitting reminder that when you play the game of thrones, you win, or you die.

As a loyal servant of House Stark for many years, Hodor served as Bran's legs (and sometimes his eyes and fists) throughout Game of Thrones, before he sacrificed his life to protect the young Three-Eyed Raven during an attack by the White Walkers in Season 6.

But the gentle giant's heroic death also provided a devastating reveal about his past, and his true identity as Winterfell's formerly articulate and capable stablehand Wylis. Bran's time-traveling warging destroyed Wylis' mind, leaving him unable to speak beyond the last words he heard before he died in the future: "hold the door."

Disney’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge theme parks will include some familiar characters like Hondo Ohnaka from Rebels and Rex from the original Star Tours ride, but one we didn’t expect was revealed during the Galaxy’s Edge panel at Star Wars Celebration Chicago: Yoda.

There will also be Coca-Cola products you can drink.

That’s right, as you’re immersed in the new planet Batuu set in the Star Wars universe and explore Black Spire Outpost where you can board a full scale Millennium Falcon and cross paths with an iconic Jedi master, you can also sip on some Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite, or Dasani water but with the logos translated into the Star Wars language of Aurebesh so as to not break the illusion you're not actually in a galaxy far, far away.

Star Wars isn't just one of the most famous movie franchises of all time, it's also inspired some of the best video games ever made -- and also a bunch of pretty bad ones. Like the eternal battle between good and evil space wizards, for every Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic there's a Masters of Teras Kasi; for every Jedi Knight II there's a Kinect Star Wars; and for every Star Wars: Battlefront II there's a Star Wars Battlefront II.

The Star Wars franchise is finally making the jump to live-action TV this year. The upcoming Disney+ streaming service will feature an original series called The Mandalorian, about a mysterious gunfighter making a name for himself several years after the events of Return of the Jedi. The series is being written and produced by Jon Favreau (Iron Man 1 & 2).

As the show's debut date of November 12 approaches, some details have started to emerge about the series' cast and characters. Read on to find out which actors will be making their Star Wars debut and who they'll be playing.

Shae might've started out as a random prostitute intended to occupy Tyrion Lannister's final hours before a battle, but she grew into the love of the Imp's life (and Sansa Stark's seemingly loyal handmaiden) - despite all the dangers surrounding her at King's Landing. Her seeming devotion to Tyrion and Sansa made her shocking betrayal and subsequent allegiance with Tyrion's father all the more painful, especially when Tyrion found Shae in Tywin Lannister's bed.

Facebook accidentally added some "easter egg" labels on tens of thousands of Oculus Touch controllers, including such phrases as "Big Brother is Watching" and "This Space For Rent."

Nate Mitchell, co-founder of Oculus and head of VR product at Facebook, took to Twitter to explain this issue and said that while he does "appreciate easter eggs, these were inappropriate and should have been removed."

These labels made it onto the internal hardware of the Oculus Touch VR controllers, with final production hardware saying "This Space For Rent" and "The Masons Were Here." Some dev kits were sent out, which were non-consumer units, and included the phrases "Big Brother is Watching" and "Hi iFixit! We See You!"
