Netflix’s The Witcher to Premiere in Late 2019
Netflix's new TV series, The Witcher, will launch on the streaming platform sometime toward the end of 2019, according to a Netflix earnings call, as reported by Variety.
Chief Content Officer, Ted Sarandos, said their line-up for the third-quarter consists of their most watched shows on Netflix, such as Stranger Things, Orange is the New Black, and Casa de Papel.
Fourth quarter – which runs from October to December – will see larger film investmentslike Irishman, 6 Underground, and the live-action adaptation of The Witcher series, Sarandos said.
Sarandos said The Witcher, which they are currently shooting in Hungary, is, "an enormous European IP, very popular game and Book IP, that we think is going to make a really fun global series."
Rage 2 Final Preview – IGN First
Above anything else, Rage 2 is about having fun. Sure, pretty much all games are in one way or another, but this one is fundamentally built around empowering you to enjoy yourself. Its creative weaponry, the carnage of its combo system, and the freedom of its open world give you loads of options and then get out of your way. And while the extent of that world and the quality of the story in it remain to be seen, boy was it sure fun to be in.
I had the pleasure of running around Rage 2’s wasteland for a couple of hours last week, and I’m happy to say that a massive part of what actually made it so enjoyable was is its guns. While Avalanche Studios of Just Cause fame is the main developer behind it and that influence comes through loud and clear, the gunplay also feels punchy and fast in the way you’d hope from a modern id Software game, with slick movements abilities like an omnidirectional dash to play with.
Jurassic World Ride Reveals Terrifying Mosasaurus
Universal Studios Hollywood’s upcoming Jurassic World - The Ride will feature appearances from some of the biggest, hungriest dinosaurs from the franchise, and we just got our first look at the Mosasaurus, which you’ll remember is the massive aquatic dino.
See the Mosasaurus in action by watching the trailer below:
The ride is set during the time of the first Jurassic World movie right as the Indominus rex escapes. As you can see from the brief footage, the ride will have guests pile into a raft to take a tour of Jurassic World, but, naturally, things go horribly awry. The ride will also see appearances from the docile Stegosaurus and Parasaurolophus and the predatory Velociraptors and Dilophosaurus, and of course the Tyrannosaurus rex. Eventually, in an effort to flee from the dinosaurs, the raft will plummet down an 84-foot waterfall.

Overwatch: New Event Seems to Tease Next Hero
Overwatch's new Storm Rising PvE event begins with a fantastic cutscene, but ends with a more enigmatic one, which may be teasing the game's next playable character.
Warning: If you haven't played Overwatch's Storm Rising event and want to save the surprise for yourself, go no further.
After finishing the Storm Rising mode, you'll be treated to a small clip of Mercy, Tracer, Winston and Genji capturing their target, Maximilien. After Maximilien asks what Overwatch wants from him, Mercy answers with "an introduction".
The scene changes to the game's Temple of Anubis setting, and we're shown Doomfist as he attempts to ask someone to join forces with the Talon organisation.

PS5 Price Will Be ‘Appealing to Gamers in Light of its Advanced Features’
PS5 lead system architect Mark Cerny has addressed the price of the upcoming console, while not actually saying what it will be.
Wired writer Peter Rubin dropped a quote from Cerny, which wasn't used in the magazine's reveal feature yesterday, on Twitter.
Rubin asked Cerny whether the PS5 would be set around the launch price range of recent consoles. Cerny's answer was a little enigmatic: "I believe that we will be able to release it at an SRP
that will be appealing to gamers in light of its advanced feature set."
Gamescom Getting a Geoff Keighley-Hosted Announcement Show
Gamescom 2019 will kick off with Opening Night Live, a new livestreamed show hosted by Geoff Keighley.
Opening Night Live will include "announcements from major game publishers and independent developers, world premieres of new game footage and special guest appearances from the stars of the gaming industry."
The event will take place on Monday August 19, at 11am Pacific, 2pm Eastern, 7pm UK (that's 6am AEST on August 20).
Gamescom has traditionally held an opening event, but this will presumably replace that show. Keighley also hosts The Game Awards and E3 Coliseum, which might be seen as something like blueprints for Opening Night Live.
While E3 has traditionally been the epicentre of the gaming announcement calendar, Gamescom has remained the world's most-attended games show and, with some big names dropping out of the LA event this year, it may be that some are preferring the German show.
Smash Bros. Ultimate: Persona 5’s Joker Joins This Week
Persona 5's Joker is officially joining the Super Smash Bros. Ultimate roster this week — and you won't have to wait long to play as him as he hits the game on April 17.
Nintendo confirmed Joker will be available as the first of five DLC fighters as part of the Fighters Pass. The Challenger Pack 1 will include Joker as a playable fighter, a stage based on Persona 5's Mementos location, as well as music from the entire Persona 5 series.
A trailer Nintendo revealed alongside Joker's reveal revealed a main gameplay mechanic for Joker will be the ability for him to build up a Persona meter, which will allow him to summon Joker's main persona Arsene from Persona 5. Players need to "hold onto their rebellious spirit" to keep using Arsene, who can help Joker with counters and a glide jump ability.
