Marvel’s Iron Man VR Dev on Crafting an Original Tony Stark Story
Marvel’s Iron Man VR debuted during Sony’s first State of Play this year, marking the second Marvel Games PS4 exclusive, following the hugely successful Marvel’s Spider-Man. Developer Camouflaj has worked on the upcoming PlayStation VR title for more than two years, before Insomniac’s webhead adventure took off, though, and for much of that process, one of the biggest concerns was whether the high-profile game would leak.
“I swear to god, I’d wake up every morning, one eye on Twitter
, ‘It didn’t leak, right,’” Iron Man VR director Ryan Payton told IGN during a recent interview on our weekly PlayStation show, Beyond!, which you can watch below.

How Gotham Finally Got its Joker
Warning: This story contains Gotham spoilers up through the series' penultimate episode...
With Todd Phillips' Joker movie set to reveal the first big screen live-action Joker origin story since Tim Burton's Batman (one that seems set to drum up sympathy for the character who transforms into the Clown Prince of Crime), it's a great time to examine FOX's Gotham and the crazy, twisting road it took toward finally unveiling its own official Joker.
Gotham's series finale drops on April 25, showcasing a 10-year time jump that'll drop Cameron Monaghan's "J" into our eager laps. Gotham, as a series, has morphed many times in its own right. Back when it first kicked off, Batman and Joker were off-limits entirely - they could only be playfully referenced. So much so that fans wondered if they'd even get to see the iconic cape and cowl in the final frames of the last episode, Smallville style.

Star Trek Animated Series Greenlit at Nickelodeon
An official Star Trek animated series has officially been greenlit by CBS Television Studios and Nickelodeon.
Reported by Variety, this kid-friendly, CG-animated series will follow "a group of lawless teens who discover a derelict Starfleet ship and use it to search for adventure, meaning and salvation.”
The show will come from Eye Animation Productions (CBS’ animation division), Secret Hideout and Roddenberry Entertainment. Executive vice president of animation production and development at Nickelodeon Ramsey Naito will oversee the show.
We previously reported that CBS and Nickelodeon were nearing a deal for a Star Trek animated series, coming from Star Trek executive producer Alex Kurtzman and writers Kevin Hageman and Dan Hageman, known for Trollhunters, The LEGO movie, and Ninjago. The Hagemans, Kurtzman, Heather Kadin, Katie Krentz, Rod Roddenberry and Trevor Roth will all serve as executive producers, with Aaron Baiers as co-executive producer.
Epic Would End Exclusivity Deals If Steam Changes Revenue Share
Epic Games founder and CEO Tim Sweeney has said that he would stop making Epic Games Store exclusivity deals if Steam offered developers and publishers a permanent 88% revenue share.
Talking in a thread on Twitter regarding revenue and the cut taken by stores, Sweeney defended Epic’s process, explaining that the company’s 12% cut from game profits was a significant and important improvement on the 30% that Valve take from sales on the Steam Store. That large cut is “the #1 problem for PC developers, publishers, and everyone who relies on those businesses for their livelihood” according to Sweeny.
The Russos Have No Plans for More Marvel Movies After Avengers: Endgame
Joe and Anthony Russo, the brothers behind Avengers: Endgame, are done with making Marvel movies, at least for now.
In an interview with GamesRadar, Anthony Russo said the latest Avengers installment was the last Marvel movie for the directing duo.
"It’s our Endgame, at least for now,” Anthony Russo told GamesRadar. “We don’t have any plans for now to make any more Marvel movies.”
Anthony Russo said there was a possibility of working with Marvel in the future, citing the "wonderful working relationship" he and his brother have with the studio. But for now, the Russos have no plans to dip back into the MCU.
Sacrifice Has Always Been Captain America’s Greatest Weapon
Today we conclude our look at each of the founding MCU Avengers and how their stories have led them to their final confrontation with Thanos. Here’s Captain America and his journey to Avengers: Endgame.
“What makes you happy?”
Steve Rogers doesn’t know how to answer this question when it’s posed to him by Sam Wilson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The thing is, we know the answer even if Steve is facing a crisis of doubt at the time. Captain America lives to make the world better for the rest of us, and far too often that means he has to make personal sacrifices with far-reaching effects on his life. And he’s O.K. with that.
That’s because Cap is a truly selfless hero, and we’re lucky to have him as a paragon of what’s good in a particularly selfish moment in our history. In an era of party over country and me over us, Captain America should remind everyone of what really matters.
Persona 5 Scramble Announced for Switch and PS4
Persona 5 Scramble: The Phantom Strikers, a musou spinoff of the mainline Persona series, has been announced for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch.
Announced during the Persona Super Live 2019 concert via a brief Japanese trailer, Persona 5 Scramble is being created as a collaboration between Atlus and Koei Tecmo’s Omega Force team, known for its work on the Dynasty Warriors series. According to Persona Central, it’s being labeled as the first action RPG in the Persona series.
While little is known about the game, the trailer clearly shows Persona 5 Scramble as a musou game, where Joker fights against large hordes of enemies all at once. The game currently has no official release date, though an official website has gone live.
