A New FPS Made in the 20-year-old Quake Engine Is Coming to Switch
Duke Nukem creator 3D Realms is stuck in the past. That’s not an insult or a criticism, it’s literally how the developer has decided to make games. After debuting Ion Maiden last year – a well-received retro FPS made in the original Build Engine used for 90s games like Duke Nukem 3D – the studio told me its newest game is ready for the next big technological leap available: full 3D models.
Wrath: Aeon of Ruin, is a brand new, full-fledged FPS made in the Quake Engine. I’m not talking about 2017’s Quake Champions, I literally mean the engine made in 1996 for the very first Quake. It hasn’t been used in a major game release in roughly 20 years. And not only is Wrath coming to PC sometime this summer, it will actually be making its way to Xbox One, PS4, and even Nintendo Switch early next year as well.

Blizzard has partnered up with GOG.com for the first digital release of an updated version of Diablo.
The studio announced the release alongside the news that Warcraft: Orcs & Humans, and Warcraft II re-releases will also be coming to the platform at some point in the future.
“We were bummed that these iconic games weren’t available to our players, so we‘re very happy to work with the crew at GOG.com to rectify that,” said Blizzard's Vice President and Executive Producer, Rob Bridenbecker. “This has been a long time coming and we hope our players will be excited to jump back into these classic titles.”
Batman’s Birthday Party Includes 1.5 Million Live Bats
DC is going all-out when it comes to celebrating Batman's 80th anniversary this year, and that includes inviting 1.5 million actual bats to the party.
Today DC shed light on some of the Bat-themed festivities going on during 2019. In addition to the release of the landmark Detective Comics #1000 this month (which features the comic book universe debut of the Arkham Knight), the company will be hosting several Batman panels at events like SXSW, Emerald City Comic-Con and WonderCon, as well as celebrating another annual Batman Day on September 21.
DC also revealed this new anniversary logo designed by artist Jose Luis Garcia-Loez and painted by Admira Wijaya:
Fortnite Players Find Bugged Instant Death Spots on the Map
Fortnite players recently began finding themselves getting insta-killed at Fatal Fields' Fork Knife, and now another death spot has been discovered.
Epic posted a warning about the lethal area in Fatal Fields after players took to Reddit to let the devs know about it.
"Beware the Fork Knife! We’re aware of an issue with players being eliminated when walking around the Fork Knife near Fatal Fields. We’ll be releasing a fix for this issue shortly," said Epic's community coordinator, Sean Hamilton.
Since then, a second death spot has been found near The Block that apparently only kicks in if the player is crouched in the area, but no one from Epic has commented on the post just yet.

Batman #66 Review
Written by Tom King | Drawn by Jorge Fornes
"It's easy to grow frustrated with some of the publishing and storytelling decisions on this series, whether it's the callous way Nightwing was treated late last year or the fact that the already overlong 'Knightmares' story arc was further delayed by last month's Flash crossover. But when Batman fires on all cylinders, it's easily among the best books on the stands. Issue #65 is one more welcome reminder of that fact." -Jesse

George R.R. Martin Confirms Game of Thrones Final Books Will Have ‘Important Discrepancies’ from Season 8
It seems the ever-popular TV adaption of George R.R. Martin's Game of Thrones fantasy series and the remaining books will potentially have some important discrepancies from each other, according to the writer.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Martin explains that he actually doesn't yet know how the show will end.
"I haven't read the
scripts and haven't been able to visit the set because I've been working on Winds," Martin revealed. "I know some of the things. But there's a lot of minor-character
they'll be coming up with on their own. And, of course, they passed me several years ago. There may be important discrepancies."
