Child’s Play: Mark Hamill to Voice Chucky in the Reboot
Mark Hamill will voice Chucky the killer doll in the upcoming remake of Child's Play, Orion Pictures announced Saturday.
The Star Wars actor joins a cast that includes Aubrey Plaza, Gabriel Bateman and Brian Tyree Henry.
Described in the official press release as "a contemporary re-imagining of the 1988 horror classic," Child's Play "follows Karen (Plaza), a single mother who gifts her son Andy (Bateman) a Buddi doll, unaware of its more sinister nature."
“We feel incredibly lucky to have an icon creating a new take on an iconic character,” said David Katzenberg, who produces along with Seth Grahame-Smith.
“Mark is a gifted actor and celebrated vocal performer, and he’s approached this challenge with incredible energy and commitment.”

In a packed arena at the Anaheim Convention Center, fans eagerly awaited Warner Bros. presentation for its upcoming slate of films. And while there were cheers and applause for Annabelle Comes Home (check out the new trailer) and Shazam! (read our review), the Godzilla footage we saw was... "Something special." Those words were spoken by Godzilla: King of the Monsters director Michael Dougherty before the footage played. And he was right!
