Amazon has the fantastic Samsung 860 EVO line of solid state drives on sale right now, including the 500GB 2.5-inch model, which is available for the lowest price it's ever been. Admittedly, storage isn't the most glamorous thing to shop for, but it's one of the key components of any computer or game console. Whether you like it or not, you need it to keep your machine running and filled with games, apps, and files. Since storage is a mundane part of our lives, you might as well get it while it's on sale.

It's really a magical time to be a movie fan. If you want to only watch movies at home, the advent of DVD releases was a huge step-up from the days of VHS. Now we're in the Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray age, and televisions have never been bigger or cheaper, with better resolution. The DVD industry might be getting smaller thanks to the advent of streaming, but it's not going anywhere quite yet.
Physical media like DVD, Blu-ray and 4K Blu-ray sweeten the pot with attractive packaging and special features more easily accessible than streaming solutions. Here are the notable theatrical, DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K Blu-ray releases for 2019 and if applicable, where to buy them or buy tickets. Click on the name of the month to jump to the entry further down the page. When movies are available in 4K, they are noted as such.

The Oscars We Think Marvel Will (and Won’t) Win
A decade after The Dark Knight was infamously snubbed, Black Panther is the first comic book movie to receive an Oscar nomination as Best Picture. The Marvel-Disney film also picked up six other noms: Costume Design, Original Score, Original Song, Production Design, Sound Editing, and Sound Mixing.
Black Panther, though, isn't the only film based on a Marvel comic vying for Oscar gold at this Sunday's 91st Annual Academy Awards, as Sony Pictures Animation's Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is nominated for Best Animated Film and Avengers: Infinity War is in the running for Best Visual Effects.

The Black Man Who Revolutionized Gaming as We Know It
At 6’ 6” and 280 pounds, Jerry Lawson -- a Black man -- was extremely far from the stereotypical image of an engineer and inventor in 1970s America, or even today. But then, nothing about Jerry's life was stereotypical.
Black inventor and self-taught engineer Gerald “Jerry” Lawson was one of the few Black engineers of his time; yet, he was almost left out of the tome of gaming history. With his work on the Fairchild Channel F Console, Jerry was the first to innovate the use of interchangeable cartridges in consumer gaming consoles, changing the landscape of the gaming industry as we know it. In 2018, the gaming industry’s estimated worth was $138 billion and is built on the backbone of consumer flexibility: being able to play multiple games comfortably in your home or on the go. None of this modern-day success would have been possible if it wasn’t for Jerry Lawson; but, let's start at the beginning.

Apex Legends Player Uses Spider-Man Web Shooter to Play
It can be tough enough for some of us to win in Respawn Entertainment's hit battle royale shooter Apex Legends. But one player has decided to take a unique tactic to playing the legend Pathfinder — using a modified Spider-Man web shooter toy as a controller.
Louis Hamilton, ATwerkinYoshi on Reddit, posted his awesome controller mod, which activates Pathfinder's grappling hook ability with the press of a Spider-Man glove. Mimicking the webhead's iconic motion, Hamilton presses down with his middle and ring finger on a modded web shooter glove, which launches Pathfinder's grapple. Check out the video below to see the glove in action.
