Game of Thrones: Season 8 New Look Shows Daenerys and Sansa Meeting
In a sizzle reel of upcoming shows, HBO showed off a brief glimpse of a meeting between Daenerys Targareyn and Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones Season 8.
Spoiler warning: potential (mild) spoilers for the final season of Game of Thrones follows.
The clip, which comes in at the 40-second mark in the video below, was tweeted by HBO late Sunday night. Though brief, it shows Daenerys entering Winterfell for the first time, with Sansa declaring “Winterfell is yours, your grace.”
It’s going to be a very good year.
CES: HP Unveils $5,000 Emperium 65″ Gaming Monitor With Soundbar
HP has unveiled its Big Format Gaming Display ahead of CES (BFGD), and it's an expensive, jaw-dropping behemoth that weighs 140lbs. The Omen X Emperium is a 65" Quantum Dot gaming monitor/TV with all the trimmings, making it the ultimate monitor for living room gaming on an appropriately powerful PC (or console). And at $4,999 its price reflects its fully-loaded status and top-notch specs.
When we first reported on the Nvidia BFGD at last year's CES, it was "coming soon," but there hasn't been any news about it until now, so with this announcement HP is the first to bring these huge gaming panels to market. The panel itself features a 384-zone full direct-array backlight along with Quantum Dot technology, and it delivers 95 percent of the DCI-P3 color gamut. Naturally its resolution is 4K, and it also features a 120-144Hz refresh rate, and is VESA Certified as DisplayHDR 1000 so it can do proper HDR (theoretically). *Deep breath*. It also has Nvidia's G-Sync frame syncing technology, and has a built-in Nvidia Shield too for streaming games or multimedia content from Netflix, Hulu, etc. Its AMVA panel offers a 4ms response time (gtg) as well.
Batman Solo Movie Could Reportedly Start Shooting in November
Reports indicate that Matt Reeves’ The Batman will begin shooting in November.
Per The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision newsletter (via Batman News), it appears this solo flick is likely to begin filming by November 2019. THR’s Aaron Couch and Borys Kit discussed the news, with Couch presuming Ben Affleck won’t be donning the black cowl.
Upon Couch asking when we might get news on The Batman's casting, Kit said "The script is basically in, although Reeves will continue tweaking it and working on it. And I'm hearing the studio wants to start shooting in November. So let's say between now and then?"

A New Disturbing Fact About Hogwarts Has Been Revealed
Whether we wanted to or not, we now all hold the knowledge that magical folk in the Harry Potter universe used to have a rather unsavory way of relieving themselves before adopting the Muggle invention of a "bathroom."
The official Pottermore account, which pulls its canonical revelations directly from J.K. Rowling, bestowed this nugget of information upon us in a Tweet posted Friday. This certainly fits the criteria of National Trivia Day.
Hogwarts didn't always have bathrooms. Before adopting Muggle plumbing methods in the eighteenth century, witches and wizards simply relieved themselves wherever they stood, and vanished the evidence. #NationalTriviaDay
