Samuel L. Jackson on How Captain Marvel Will Tell Nick Fury’s Origin
The upcoming Captain Marvel movie will not only introduce audiences to the high-flying titular hero but also reveal the origin of Nick Fury. While visiting the southern California set of Captain Marvel, IGN and a small group of press spoke with actor Samuel L. Jackson about how the movie will show us a very different side of Fury while also showing the beginnings of how he got the idea for the Avengers.
We’re used to seeing Fury as the spymaster in charge of SHIELD -- before it collapsed courtesy of Hydra, anyway -- but Captain Marvel’s ‘90s setting turns back the clock to when he was but a lowly desk jockey without much purpose or direction to his life. According to producer Jason Schwartz, “It's the mid ‘90s, the Cold War is over, the war on terror hasn't begun yet. It's a little bit of a slow period for worldwide espionage.”
The Division 2 Won’t Be on Steam, Will Be on Epic Games Store
Ubisoft and Epic have announced a partnership to release Tom Clancy's PC version of The Division 2 on the newly launched Epic Games store, according to GamesIndustry.
The game will also be available through Ubisoft, but it will not be released on Steam.
Additionally, it has been announced that Ubisoft and Epic will release "additional select titles" over the next year, and that any pre orders of The Division 2 from other online stores would not be affected by the recent decision.

Think of it like the GPU for your budding streaming career: you can’t work without one.
Aladdin: Sharknado Studio Making a Mockbuster Version
The Asylum, the independent movie studio responsible for famous knock-offs like The Atlantic Rim, Tomb Invader, Independents’ Day and the original disaster franchise Sharknado, is revving up to film a mockbuster version of Disney’s Aladdin.
As reported by /Film, this version of Aladdin (a story in the public domain included in the Middle Eastern folktale compilation One Thousand and One Nights published in 1706) is set to start filming in Los Angeles this week.
The cast breakdown of the film reveals each major character, as well as a surprising amount of plot spoilers. Of course, Aladdin and Genie are both accounted for, but Jasmine and Jafar are Disney creations, so they have been switched out for the characters Shahzadi and Vizier Maghreb (respectively) who may closer resemble the characters of the original story. Four other characters that are a part of Aladdin’s street performer group are listed in the cast list as well.
AC Odyssey: Second DLC Pack Release Date Announced
The second episode of Assassin's Creed Odyssey's Legacy of the First Blade DLC will be released on January 15, Ubisoft announced today.
Titled Shadow Heritage, this latest chapter continues the story from Episode 1, Hunted, and sees players investigating "a blockade initiated by the Order of the Ancients around the port city in Achaia." In order to begin Shadow Heritage, players will have to complete Hunted, progress beyond the Naxos portion of Chapter 7 in the main story, and reach at least level 28.
Legacy of the First Blade is available as part of the $40 USD Season Pass or as a separate $25 USD purchase.
The Daughters of Lalaia and A Poet's Legacy, the fourth and fifth episodes of Odyssey's free The Lost Tales of Greece DLC, will also be released this month, in addition to a new level scaling setting. This new option, available on all difficulty settings but Nightmare, allows players to adjust "how drastically the enemies will scale to their level."
Black Mirror: Bandersnatch Script Was a Game in Itself
It's pretty common to hear actors talking about the first time they read a script for a project, but you generally don't hear about them playing one.
Black Mirror's one-off interactive episode, Bandersnatch, required a different approach for its actors to get acquainted with its multi-limbed script – creator Charlie Brooker turned it into a Twine game.
was very, very confusing to read in its physical form", says Colin Ritman actor Will Poulter to IGN. "But I later got the opportunity to read it in sort of Twine document format. So it's a kind of software that allows you to effectively play the script and experience it in a similar way to how the viewer experiences it, and that helped to make sense of it."
