Every Activity in Anthem Will Have Matchmaking

A lead producer on Anthem has confirmed that "every activity" in the game will feature matchmaking.

Ben Irving tweeted out this information while responding to a question pertaining to public and private matchmaking, saying “There is matchmaking for every activity in the game.” This presumably applies to Strongholds, free play, missions, world events and everything in between, allowing for players who aren’t readily matched up with friends to find other players to join with online.

All 49 Confirmed Characters in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3

Update (5/23/19): Following the release of a new trailer (below) and Game Informer's latest cover story, this article and gallery have been updated with 19 additional characters confirmed to appear in Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order.

It's safe to say that in the 10 years since Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was released on consoles in 2009, the world's understanding of the Marvel Universe has changed a bit, to put things lightly. Not only has the MCU taken a firm hold of the pop culture zeitgeist, but the expectations for things like crossovers and genre mashups -- two of the Ultimate Alliance mainstays -- have gone through the roof. The thrill of seeing heroes teaming up and facing off against familiar bad guys has become less a novelty and more an expectation, meaning Ultimate Alliance has got its work cut out for it and then some.

Fortnite’s Controversial Glider Redeploy Is Back

The glider redeploy, one of the most controversial gameplay mechanics in the history of Fortnite, is making its return as a usable item.

Announced by Epic Games, the glider redeploy will be returning with patch v7.20 and will take up an inventory slot if you choose to equip it. It can be found from normal loot sources, including floor loot, chests, vending machines and supply llamas.

Players can activate glider redeploy as they normally would (in the past, it would deploy if a player fell from a height of three stories or more and allow them to land safely), and each deployment of the device will remove a single charge. Once all charges are used, the item will disappear.

Minor spoilers for the Season 3 premiere of True Detective ahead.

The third season of True Detective began last night on HBO and the "crooked spiral" iconography that appears in episode two also appeared in the show's first season.

Cyberpunk 2077’s Development Started in Earnest After Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone

A recent interview has revealed that CD Projekt Red didn’t begin developing Cyberpunk 2077 in earnest until after the release of The Witcher 3: Hearts of Stone.

The interview, which was held between French outlet Jeuxactu and lead cinematic animator Maciej Pietras, went over the early development timeline of the game. Though Cyberpunk 2077 was formally announced in January 2013 through a brief teaser trailer (following a tease of the game in 2012), it wasn’t until after the release of the first Witcher 3 expansion, Hearts of Stone, that work on Cyberpunk 2077 began in earnest. In fact, until The Witcher 3 was finished, it appears full production on Cyberpunk 2077 was pending to an extent.
