Sea of Thieves Update Requires Full Download and Reinstall
Rare has announced that Sea of Thieves will be receiving a major update that will require players to download and reinstall a full version of the game - though the new version’s file size will be significantly smaller.
Announced through the official Sea of Thieves website, the update will be coming to PC and Xbox One on February 6. Executive producer Joe Neate explained that this new version is necessary to keep the overall size of the game from spiraling out of control with subsequent updates, and will allow Rare to be able to generate and transfer new builds of the game more quickly in the future.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey: Ubisoft Responds to DLC Criticisms
Spoilers for Assassin's Creed Odyssey and its DLC to follow.
Assassin's Creed Odyssey set out to redefine the series with its RPG focus, allowing players to shape their character through dialogue and romance options, but the release of the second episode of the Legacy of the Blade DLC, Shadow Heritage, has seemingly invalidated a lot of players' in-game choices by forcing a heterosexual romance with the offspring of the first ever assassin, Darius.

How the Russo Brothers Brought Deadly Class to TV
Rick Remender knew what he wanted when he created his graphic novel, Deadly Class (with art by Wesley Craig), and he wasn’t about to compromise that vision for TV. “I said, ‘look, I'm not handing this over. I'm going to be writing it and running it and doing all the music.’” And that’s exactly what Syfy and his producing partners, the Russo Brothers (you may know them from those tiny little Avengers films), let him do.
Deadly Class is the ‘80s-set story of orphan Marcus Lopez Arguello (Benjamin Wadsworth) and his classmates at King’s Dominion High School for the Deadly Arts. A training ground for the deadliest assassins in the world, run by the mysterious Master Lin (Benedict Wong), Marcus must survive not only his lessons, but his classmates, and the people seemingly always out to get him after he burned down his old orphanage. Oh yeah, and Marcus — by the way — wants to kill Ronald Reagan. (It’s a whole thing.)

Just when I thought I was out of the amiibo game, Nintendo pulled me back. The newer amiibo are so much more detailed, and delightful, than the original releases, and they're perfect collectibles for any video game fan. I don't have all of them, but I do have a substantial, and growing, collection. If you're like me, you struggle with amiibo addiction, but also, you still give in to it.
We're still waiting on availability for the Super Smash Bros. versions of Pichu, Daisy, Ken, Simon Belmont, Richter Belmont, Chrom, and Dark Samus. The first wave of new amiibo, including Inkling Girl, Wolf, and Ridley, came out at the start of December. If you didn't grab them, or the Octoling 3-pack, there's still hope. The Octoling 3-pack is on Amazon and GameStop. You can also find Ridley in-stock at Amazon and GameStop. The Inkling Girl Smash Bros. amiibo is at GameStop, and you can grab the Wolf amiibo at Best Buy.
