Resident Evil 2: The Story So Far

By the time Leon and Claire reach Raccoon City at the start of Resident Evil 2, the small Midwestern town is already overrun with zombies.

If you’re jumping into the series for the first time with the Resident Evil 2 remake, you might be wondering how things got to this point. Resident Evil 2 is still an acceptable place to jump into the series – featuring a new cast separate from the first game and introducing several key figures for the first time – but if you're looking to really dig into the story of the series without playing any of the remake's chronological predecessors (Resident Evil and Resident Evil Zero specifically), then we've got you covered.

Follow along for a quick (and very, very condensed) synopsis of the Resident Evil story up to the Resident Evil 2 remake.

Roman Reigns Joins The Rock in Fast & Furious Spin-Off

Former WWE world/universal champion Roman Reigns just landed his first big movie role. Having been off WWE TV since announcing that his leukemia had returned last October, and that he needed time away from wrestling to successfully treat it, Reigns will be playing the role of The Rock's brother in Hobbs & Shaw, the Fast and the Furious spin-off flick.

The cousin of Roman Reigns in real life (through their grandfathers being Samoan "blood brothers"), The Rock made the announcement on Instagram:

"The brothers roar. A lil’ HOBBS & SHAW exclusive. Good times droppin’ sweat and spillin’ blood with my family, Roman Reigns who’ll be playing my brother in our FAST & FURIOUS UNIVERSE. I’m very proud of his focus, effort and authentic performance in our movie for his very first time on film. Opinion: Marvel Studios Needs to Reboot the Punisher

With the relationship between Marvel and Netflix rapidly dissolving, the fate of characters like Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage in the MCU is very much up in the air right now. It's possible we'll see these Netflix shows continued in some form or another on the upcoming Disney+ service. It's just as possible Marvel will choose to reboot these characters in a more MCU-friendly manner. After all, it's not as though the MCU movies and the Netflix shows have ever shared much in common.

With The Punisher having just returned for a second (and most likely final) season on Netflix, it's more apparent than ever that Frank Castle is the one Netflix character who needs a reboot. Starting over with the Punisher is the only way Marvel will be able to integrate the character more fully into the wider MCU. And since we assume that is the eventual goal, here are some reasons why a reboot is needed. (Some spoilers follow for The Punisher Seasons 1 and 2.)

Note that if you click on one of these links to buy the product, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.

In the age of social media, it seems like physical photos have become a lost art. It's a shame, because there's something to be said for well-crafted, vibrant photos you can hold in your hand, hang on your wall, give to friends, and put into photo albums. And while getting them printed at Walgreens may be cheap, the quality you get from a real photo printer is predictable and consistent, and also convenient since you don't even have to leave the house. There are a multitude of options out there though, so here are my picks for every need and budget.

WhatsApp, Facebook and Instagram to Merge Messaging Functionality

Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg plans to merge Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp and Instagram’s messaging functionality so users will be able to message between these apps.

As reported by The New York Times, this move will reportedly require thousands of Facebook employees in order to reconfigure how all three apps messaging systems function "at their most basic levels.” All three will remain as standalone apps, and the unification of their messaging systems is expected to be completed by the end of 2019, or possibly early 2020.

"We’re working on making more of our messaging products end-to-end encrypted and considering ways to make it easier to reach friends and family across networks,” said Facebook in a statement. “
