Metroid Prime 4 and Other Games That Rebooted and Passed Hands
Earlier today, Nintendo announced that development on Metroid Prime 4 was restarting from the beginning and that Retro Studios, the developer behind the original Metroid Prime trilogy of games, would be helping with development. While this is surprising news, it’s hardly the first time a game has started development under one team or director and been rebooted and developed by another.
We decided to take a stroll down development hell memory lane and compile a list of seven games that have famously been rebooted and passed hands during development.

Warner Bros. Announces Next Christopher Nolan Movie Coming July 2020
Warner Bros. has announced that Christopher Nolan's next film should be in cinemas by 2020.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, a new movie by Nolan, the man who brought us classics like The Dark Knight, Inception, and Interstellar is slated to hit IMAX on July 17, 2020.
Unfortunately, not much else is known about this upcoming film, though Warner Bros. describes the project as an event film which suggests it should be an exciting release.
This July release fits in with Nolan's history, as four out of his last five films have come out in that month. It also makes sense that the writer-director would be back in cinema as he doesn't seem to approve of Netflix's policies.
Nintendo’s Honesty Around Metroid Prime 4 Sets An Important Standard
In a surprising twist this morning, Nintendo made an incredibly transparent announcement. Development on Metroid Prime 4, it read, had halted and was to begin again under Retro Studios, the United States-based developer of the original Metroid Prime games.
In a statement delivered by Shinya Takahashi, Nintendo’s General Manager of Planning and Development, we learned that although Nintendo found it very regrettable, the company didn’t feel the current progress of Metroid Prime 4 was up to their standards for the series.

Fortnite: Changes Are on the Way for V-Bucks Llamas
Epic is introducing X-Ray Llamas to Fortnite's Save the World mode so that players can see the contents before they buy.
The new Llamas are just V-Bucks Llamas that have the added benefit of you being able to see what's inside. The new system means that players won't be able to buy multiple V-Bucks Llamas, and they'll refresh daily. If you're not interested in what the llama of the day has to offer, you can wait and see what the store has to offer the next day.
"We are making this change so we can show you the rewards of each Llama one at a time, which gives you more choice in the Llamas you decide to open," reads the official Epic update.
