February 2019’s Xbox Games With Gold Announced
Microsoft has revealed February 2019’s Games with Gold lineup, featuring a mix of new games and some memorable throwbacks.
Announced by Major Nelson, the lineup features Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon, Super Bomberman R, Assassin’s Creed: Rogue and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy. Bloodstained and Super Bomberman R are both Xbox One titles while Assassin’s Creed: Rogue is an Xbox 360 game that was later remastered for Xbox One (though it’s unclear if this is the remastered version) and Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy was a game on the original Xbox which can be played on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One.
Quantic Dream Teams Up With NetEase Games, Goes Multi-platform
Chinese giant NetEase has acquired a minority stake in Quantic Dream, the developer behind Detroit: Become Human and Heavy Rain, and will ultimately be going multi-platform with future releases.
The official announcement states that this is to “...further the development and distribution of global online games. Quantic Dream will continue to operate independently under the direction of industry veterans David Cage and Guillaume de Fondaumière... This strategic investment aims to support the studio’s vision of becoming a global, multi-franchise entertainment company, and to develop advanced technologies and games for the future."
How the “global online” aspect of this statement applies to Quantic Dream is currently unknown, as while its games have incorporated some online social elements in the past (such as showing how many players chose specific decisions in Detroit) they are largely offline, story-based, single-player experiences.
Resident Evil 2 Ships 3 Million Copies in a Week
Resident Evil 2 has shipped over 3 million copies worldwide, across PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
In a press release today, Capcom announced that their remake of the fan favourite game, has shipped over 3 million in its first 7 days on sale.
While it’s worth noting that “shipped” doesn’t always mean sold, this is still a notable achievement after just a week of being available, especially in January.
The original Resident Evil 2 went on to sell nearly 5 million units after its release in 1998, but with such a successful first week, the current iteration may still go on to surpass that.

The Dude abides, but do you? Here are all the Super Bowl 53 ads so far...

Variety reports that Whannell will be returning to work with Blum's Blumhouse Productions for The Invisible Man. Previously he had worked with the company on films including Insidious: The Last Key and Upgrade.

Agents of SHIELD Season 6 Trailer Teases a New Coulson
Agent Phil Coulson is dead, and there's no room for argument: the new trailer for Season 6 of Agents of SHIELD says so right up front. But that doesn't stop Clark Gregg from popping up several times in Marvel and ABC's new teaser, both as a flashback, hologram, and... something else. (He's also directing the Season 6 premiere.)
The first half of the new promo shows the rest of the team trying to recover following the loss of Coulson; Mack is struggling with his new leadership role, May is reminiscing over her final days with her lost love on a beach in the real Tahiti; and Simmons is searching for Fitz, who is frozen somewhere in space because... time travel! Luckily, things seem to be business as usual for Daisy, who appears to be channeling her grief into kicking butt.

An early look at Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn may be teasing a Batman appearance in the upcoming Birds of Prey movie.
Robbie posted a pic of her new Harley Quinn look to her Instagram yesterday. Careful inspection of the selfie reveals the name 'Bruce' on a bone-shaped dog tag around her neck which was spotted by The Wrap.

Some things, like fine wine, a good pair of jeans, and certain cheeses, get better with age. Unfortunately, many other things don't, a category that definitely encompasses gaming PCs. When asked to push the heavy graphical load of a new AAA game, computers of a certain vintage start to struggle, and it's all downhill from there. If your gaming rig's best days are in the rearview, or you're looking to dive into the world of PC gaming for the first time, it's a good time to buy. A number of appealing off-the-shelf gaming PCs happen to be on sale right now.
