Why Does Black Manta Hate Aquaman So Much in the DC Movie?
Jason Momoa's Arthur Curry is pretty busy in the Aquaman movie. In addition to battling his jealous brother Orm -- a.k.a. Ocean Master -- for control of the Atlantean throne, Aquaman will also be battling Black Manta, an armored sea pirate harboring a particularly nasty grudge.
But just who is Black Manta? Here's everything you need to know about Black Manta, why he hates Aquaman so much and why he has one of the more convoluted origin stories in the DC Universe.
Watch the video above to hear from director James Wan why he went full comic book with the film!
Hellboy Creator Explains Key Difference Between David Harbour and Ron Perlman’s Performances
The upcoming Hellboy movie reboot features a new take on the character by actor David Harbour, and from what we’ve seen in the trailer and a few posters and heard from the SFX makeup designer, it’s clear he’s setting his Hellboy apart from that of Ron Perlman’s in the previous two films directed by Guillermo del Toro. While talking to IGN, Hellboy creator Mike Mignola (who is an executive producer and creative consultant on the reboot) highlighted what he saw as the key difference between the two performances.
How Avengers: Infinity War Reinvented Red Skull
Avengers: Infinity War is easily one of the most technologically ambitious films of 2018, with artists and animators being called upon to create entire characters and worlds out of thin air. One of those challenges involved recreating Hugo Weaving's Red Skull without the involvement of Weaving himself. Actor Ross Marquand may have taken over that role this time, but the full story of bringing Red Skull to life in Infinity War is far more complicated.
IGN's Jim Vejvoda recently interviewed Digital Domain's Kelly Port and Marvel Studios' Dan DeLeeuw about the technical challenges involved in recreating this iconic villain and establishing his new role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Be sure to explain our breakdown of how Red Skull was brought back within MCU lore.

Titans has wrapped up its first season on the DC Universe app. And while the finale left a lot unresolved, it did set the stage for a new DC character to join the team in Season 2. The post-credits scene gave fans their first look at a Project Cadmus creation known as "Subject 13." Or, as we like to call him, Superboy.
Read on to find out more about this incarnation of Superboy, his faithful dog Krypto and what their debut could mean for Season 2 of Titans.
The Best Digital Cameras

The reason there are so many digital cameras on the market is because no two people use a camera the exact same way. The idea of strapping a DSLR to a motorcycle helmet would be silly, to say the least; and that’s why action cameras exist. In the same vein, you wouldn’t put a pro-level full-frame mirrorless body in the hands of someone who wants a simple point-and-shoot camera. No matter what you're trying to shoot, there's a camera that suits your needs.

I'm not going to lie to you and try to tell you there's still time to order one of these Arcade1up cabinets in time for Christmas. That would be irresponsible of me. You can still opt for free in-store pickup, if the option is available in your area. That's one way to get one in time. But in reality, these deals are here in case you want one of these cool, small-scale arcade machines for your own home.
Walmart has Arcade1up machines on sale right now, some of which are in bundled deals, making them even better deals.
Hellboy Creator Mike Mignola on How the Reboot Is Bringing the Comics to Life
The upcoming Hellboy reboot is pulling directly from the comics like never before, according to the character’s creator Mike Mignola. While talking to IGN, Mignola shared that while he’s officially credited as an executive producer, he’s also contributing to the story and acting as a general consultant to the filmmakers to make sure they capture the spirit of his comics. The side-by-side image below is a perfect example of how closely the comics are being adapted in the new movie.

The Best Transformers Story Ever Explores Endless War and Brutal Politics
If you buy something through this post, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.
Transformers is a franchise that calls to mind some specific images: neon plastic toys, cheapy animated Saturday morning cartoons, hair-band power anthems of the ‘80s, Michael Bay explosions and raunch -- you get the idea. Whether your nostalgia buttons are pushed by the originals or you can remember crunching through a bucket of popcorn for the live-action movies, chances are you don't need someone to explain what Transformers are or what the basics of their story involve. Autobots, fearless heroes; Decepticons, evil villains. Endless war, alien planets, a list of glowing MacGuffins a mile long, and so on and so on. It's pop entertainment in its most basic form -- mindless at best and silly at worst.
Doom Patrol TV Series Reveals First Look at Cyborg
Titans debuts its Season 1 finale today, and DC Universe is already looking ahead to its second live-action series - revealing the premiere date for Doom Patrol in a new teaser trailer. The Titans spinoff will premiere the first episode of its 13-episode freshman season on February 15, 2019.
The teaser - which has an adorable "awkward family photo" theme - gives us our first look at Joivan Wade as Cyborg, Diane Guerrero as Crazy Jane, and Timothy Dalton as Dr. Niles Caulder/The Chief. Matt Bomer's Negative Man, Brendan Fraser's Robotman, and April Bowlby's Elasti-Woman made their debut in episode 4 of Titans (which we called one of the strongest episodes of the season), while Dr. Caulder was played by Bruno Bichir, before Dalton was cast in the role.
