Street Fighter 5 Adds New Fighter: Kage

Street Fighter 5: Arcade Edition is getting a new character in the form of Kage, a dark force tied to the sinister aspects of Ryu’s soul.

Announced by Capcom, Kage is Ryu’s Satsui no Hado ("surge of murderous intent") and only desires to survive, destroy and conquer. For reference, Akuma gave into his Satsui no Hado, though Ryu is constantly struggling to keep his at bay. If Ryu had kept his Satsui within him, he would have turned into Evil Ryu. However, this one became sentient and became Kage (“shadow") and lives to prove that Ryu is nothing without him. To do so, it seeks to challenge Akuma and Sagat, two of Ryu’s greatest rivals.

Needless to say, but full spoilers ahead!

The surprise character in the end credits scene is none other than Spider-Man 2099, the Spider-Man of the future. The man under the mask is Miguel O’Hara, voiced by Oscar Isaac, who you may know better as Poe Dameron from Star Wars. The Latino Isaac is a fitting casting choice given that Miguel is Marvel’s first-ever Latino spider-character.

Ranking All the Spider-Man Movies

Back in 2002, Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s famed wall-crawler made a cinematic splash with Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man, a huge box office success that spawned one of the biggest movie franchises of the decade and was the final boost we needed for the revitalization of superhero movies that began with Blade and X-Men.

Now 16 years and eight movies later, your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is still going strong. Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse is in theaters this month, Spider-Man: Far From Home is on the way this July, and, of course, a little movie called Avengers 4 is also coming soon.

However, not all of Spidey’s cinematic adventures have been created equal, so we figured it was time to once again rank all the films thus far... (And just a note: Yes, we're including the Avengers movies here since they are a pretty important part of the MCU version of Spider-Man's story so far.)
