Director Shawn Levy Steps Away from Tom Holland Uncharted Movie
Stranger Things' Shawn Levy has reportedly stepped down from directing Sony's Uncharted film, as the video-game action-comedy, Free Guy has now been green lit at 20th Century Fox, reported by THR.
The search for a new director has begun, with Tom Holland still set to star in the long-awaited video-game adaptation.
Levy has a slew of other films coming up, and he told The Playlist in August that Uncharted was closer to production than any of his other films, such as Starman.
The Mandalorian: Black Panther Composer Ludwig Göransson to Score Star Wars Series
Ludwig Göransson, known for his work on Black Panther, Creed and Venom, is composing the score for the upcoming television series Star Wars: The Mandalorian.
Announced through the official Star Wars website, Göransson is hot off the heels of Golden Globe and Grammy nominations for his work on Black Panther. Outside of film, Göransson has composed for New Girl and Community on TV, produced records for Haim and Chance the Rapper, and has earned three Emmy nominations for his work with Childish Gambino (aka Donald Glover, aka Lando Calrissian).
“Words fail to express how surreal and humbling it feels to be invited into the Star Wars universe,” said Göransson. “I am deeply grateful to Jon Favreau and Disney for this opportunity and to John Williams for raising the bar so high with his iconic, intrepid scores — they will never be matched. In these next months I hope to honor the tradition of Star Wars’ musical landscape while propelling The Mandalorian into new and unchartered territory. And I will try to remember that there is no try.”

How Streaming Is Saving Your Favorite Shows from Cancellation
While some television shows don't have the greatest ratings, including NBC's The Good Place, many are still being renewed thanks to strong viewership on streaming devices.
As reported by New York Post, the tried-and-true way of measuring ratings as a live show through Nielsen numbers are becoming less relevant with the advent of streaming platforms.
The Good Place, as previously mentioned, was given a fourth season despite averaging less than 3 million viewers per week during its regular time slot on Thursdays at 9:30pm.

31 Crazy (or Not so Crazy) Characters We Want as Smash DLC
Nintendo revealed Persona 5's Joker is the first of five Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC characters from the Fighter Pass. As great as that announcement is, Nintendo of America president and COO Reggie Fils-Aime's comments during the reveal and in an interview with IGN later had the IGN office even more excited about the potential of more unique character come to Smash.
The list we've assembled builds on IGN's initial wishlist of characters we wanted to see in Smash, but this time around, we're looking further into Nintendo's history to pick fighters that would bring something unique to Smash, whether it be their fighting style or the character's personality. Some characters listed to break the standard rule of a fighter originating from video games, but we have reason to believe that they could just possibly come to Smash despite that. Maybe.

First Look at George Clooney in Hulu’s Catch-22
In the Spring of 2019, Hulu is set to release a new adaptation of Joseph Heller's beloved novel, Catch-22. This six-part miniseries is led by George Clooney, who will star, produce, and direct the ambitious undertaking by the streaming provider.
For a look at Clooney, along with many of the supporting cast, check out the gallery below:
"Based on Joseph Heller’s seminal novel of the same name, Catch-22 is the story of the incomparable, artful dodger, Yossarian (Christopher Abbott), a US Air Force bombardier in World War II who is furious because thousands of people he has never met are trying to kill him. But his real problem is not the enemy, but rather his own army which keeps increasing the number of missions the men must fly to complete their service. Yet if Yossarian makes any attempt to avoid his military assignments, he’ll be in violation of Catch-22, a hilariously sinister bureaucratic rule which specifies that a concern for one’s own safety in the face of dangers which are real and immediate is the process of a rational mind; a man is considered insane if he willingly continues to fly dangerous combat missions, but a request to be removed from duty is evidence of sanity and therefore makes him ineligible to be relieved from duty," according to a synopsis provided by Hulu.
