New Aquaman Mythology Coming From Captain Marvel Writer

When it comes to members of DC Comics' core roster, Aquaman has never quite been an A-lister. This is partly because of his campy cartoon past, but partly because, as upcoming Aquaman writer Kelly Sue DeConnick explains, his core conceit, the traditional approach to doing Aquaman -- "the idea that he's an outsider, the fish out of water, this child of two worlds who doesn't belong anywhere" -- just doesn't work anymore. And that's exactly the problem she and artist Robson Rocha intend to address with their upcoming Aquaman run. As the book's first new creative team since 2016, DeConnick and Robson are primed to take a deep dive into the very core of Arthur Curry to find exactly what makes him tick, and they're going to build an entire mythology around the ocean in the process.

Amazon’s Lore Season 2 Is Bigger and Scarier

Back for a second season, Amazon Prime Video's Lore is the perfect Halloween treat, featuring 6 terrifying true stories, including a Hungarian Countess who bathes in the blood of virgins, and a narrative centered on Jack Parsons, the man who pioneered rocketry in America, but was also into some weird sex cult stuff too.

In anticipation of Lore's Season 2 premiere, we have two exclusive photos for you in the gallery below, from the episodes "Prague Clock: The Curse of the Orloj" and "Burke and Hare: In the Name of Science."

Lore's first season, which we say is "both shocking and educational" in our review, Aaron Mahnke, the creator of the podcast the series is based on, narrated over a live-action dramatization of each story. In Season 2, however, Mahnke's voice is absent, with the series focusing more on the drama and less on the podcast elements.

IGN has gone hands-on with the Spyro Reignited Trilogy multiple times, noting that the levels so far have offered a fun nostalgia trip. Spyro Reignited Trilogy was meant to originally be released on Sept. 21, but Activision and developer Toys for Bob delayed the title until Nov. 13.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s Weapons and Customization Detailed

Rockstar Games has further detailed various weapons and weapon customization systems that players will experience in Red Dead Redemption 2.

Revealed on the official Rockstar Games website, the developer confirmed that there are over 50 unique usable weapons with a slew of customization options and multiple types of ammunition that can affect damage, range and accuracy.

Interestingly, the more a gun is used, the better it will perform for the player. Unfortunately, if it’s used too much and not properly attended to, it will begin to degrade over time - oiling and cleaning it will be the trick to keeping it in good condition.

DuckTales Season 2 Premiere First Look

To the untrained eye, it's always been hard to tell the difference between Huey, Dewey, and Louie Duck beyond their different colored shirts - especially since they all have the same infuriating effect on their crotchety grand-uncle, Scrooge McDuck.

But Disney Channel's DuckTales revival spent its first season building the troublemaking trio into distinct characters with their own skillsets and interests - and in the Season 2 premiere, we'll see one of the triplets grappling with the idea that maybe he doesn't want to go adventuring all the time.

Above, check out an exclusive sneak peek from the DuckTales Season 2 premiere, in which a game night is anything but relaxing as the family faces shrink rays, a barbaric civilization and an unhealthy level of competitiveness.

The Modders Keeping Madden ’08 Alive

In 1984 the Baltimore Marching Colts (an NFL marching band) were abandoned by their team. In the middle of the night (literally) the then-Baltimore Colts moved to Indianapolis. Their fans and the Marching Colts were stunned. Team-less, the band continued to practice and play at events, hoping football would someday return to their city.

In 2007, EA Sports decided to discontinue Madden on computers, leaving PC gamers without a modern football title. But, like the Marching Colts, the Madden PC community played on.

Thanks to the dedicated (and slightly obsessed) Football Idiot modding community, there's been an updated mod of Madden 08 every year on computers during the 11-year hiatus.

Darksiders 3: 2 DLC Packs Announced

THQ Nordic announced two new pieces of DLC for Darksiders 3 on Twitter this morning.

Titled The Crucible and Keepers of the Void, the DLC packs will feature new puzzles, weapons, and armor, according to THQ Nordic. Neither The Crucible nor Keepers of the Void has a price or a release date, with THQ only stating that both will be available some time after Darksiders 3 is released.

THQ Nordic revealed back in July that Darksiders 3 would be getting two DLC packs, but it didn't announce the packs' names or any details about them. Today, the publisher reiterated its original announcement that both packs will be included as part of the $90 USD Darksiders Blades & Whip Edition, the $150 USD Collector's Edition, and the $400 USD Apocalypse Edition.
