In statements in a blog post and on Twitter, Wendig, who was writing for Marvel's Shadow of Vader comic book series, as well as an unannounced Star Wars book, opened up about the firing, which he says was due to "vulgarity" and "negativity" on social media.

Wendig said, "Today I got the call. I'm fired. Because of the negativity and vulgarity that my tweets bring."

How PS4 Updates Are Setting the Stage for the PS5

Not content to let the annually busy fall season see any dull moment, Sony has been changing up the PlayStation 4 quite a bit over the last few weeks. PSN ID changes, a cross-platform play beta, huge updates to PS Now, and more changes have been announced in the last few weeks.

It’s a surprising rush of tweaks to a console so late in its life cycle, but it’s a trend that many fans have taken notice of over the last few days. And while each announcement on its own has come as a surprise, taken all together they seemingly show quite clearly how PlayStation is setting itself up for the PS5.

Netflix Has Released Over 650 Hours of Content in 3 Months

Netflix continues to bombard the digital media sphere in 2018, releasing a reported 676 hours of original movies and television series in Q3 alone.

Per Variety, the milestone is "more than double the amount of Netflix originals launched in Q3 2017 (289 hours) and up 50% from 452 hours in Q2 2018." The data was gathered by Cowen and Co, a diversified financial services firm.

The report also gave us a look at the streaming provider's growth as a company, with a heavy emphasis on acquiring new international subscribers, which could amount to 4.35 million. The numbers offer valuable insight into why Netflix is investing so heavily in non-American original programming, with series like Germany's Dark and India's Sacred Games, to name a few.  Netflix is playing a global streaming takeover game, and so far, it appears to be working.

Avengers 4 Uniforms Possibly Leaked Via Action Figure Box

It looks like uniforms for a few of the heroes from Avengers 4 may have possibly been leaked from the back of an upcoming action figure box, and they are definitely a departure from what we’ve previously seen Earth’s Mightiest Heroes wear in the MCU.

Spoiler warning: possible spoilers for Avengers 4 and definite spoilers for Infinity War and Ant-Man and the Wasp ahead.

The leaked image of the back of a Hasbro action figure box was posted on Reddit (via The Wrap) and shows Thor and Rocket Raccoon both wearing sleek white outfits featuring the Avenger’s symbol on their chests. Thor is still sporting his shorter haircut he received during Thor: Ragnarok and is welding the Stormbreaker axe he forged in Infinity War. Rocket is simply crossing his arms, but he is a talking raccoon in a full-body suit, so he gets a pass.

Top 10 Haunted House Movies

With The Haunting of Hill House coming to Netflix in series form, and Halloween soon upon us, it's time to celebrate this most ghastly of seasons with a list - in no particular order - of our 10 all-time favourite haunted house movies.

Any and all of these should suffice as you settle down for an evening of apple bobbing and televisual frights, from the fearsome hilarity of Sam Raimi's Evil Dead II to the altogether more melodramatic horrors of The Haunting. Sure, we're playing a little fast and loose with the rules - we're allowing demonic hauntings as much as we are supernatural disturbances - but, regardless of source, if it goes bump in the night, it's got a place here. So, bolt your doors, shutter your windows and, whatever you do, make sure you're on the outside when the darkness finally crawls in.

Get a Sneak Peek at Nathan Fillion’s New ABC Drama

Castle only ended in 2016, but Nathan Fillion is already back on the case in a new ABC drama - solving crimes from the other side of the badge in The Rookie.

Fillion stars as John Nolan, a small-town guy who, after a life-altering incident, is pursuing his dream of being a Los Angeles police officer - even if it makes him the force's oldest rookie. IGN has an exclusive sneak peek from the series premiere, which sees Fillion's character trying to fit in during his first day on the job.

Beloved by fans for his work on Firefly, Dr. Horrible, and for being the ideal guy to play Nathan Drake, Fillion recently reflected on his career trajectory and why his new character should resonate with audiences regardless of their circumstances.
