Sword Art Online Returns with a Bigger Arc and Bigger Threats in Alicization
Sword Art Online has been a long and exciting journey ever since it aired back in 2012. What started out as a tense mystery to find out why main hero Kazuto Kirito and many others could not log out of a game spiraled into a multi-chapter franchise as Kirito embarked with many other characters to investigate other forms of virtual MMORPGs. Now, six years later, A-1 Pictures brings us back to the world of swords and online play with the latest installment, Alicization. But is it worth the wait? And is it a reason to return to the series if you dropped it previously?
So far, Sword Art Online has been a mix of adaptation and original story. Check out the slideshow below for a brief overview of the story leading up to Alicization.

PlayStation Plus Free Games for November 2018 Announced
Sony has revealed the free games PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive in November 2018, with Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition and Yakuza Kiwami leading the charge as the free PlayStation 4 games for the month..
Bulletstorm: Full Clip Edition is a remastered version of the over-the-top first-person shooter from People Can Fly and Epic Games, with 4K support on PS4 Pro. All previous pieces of DLC are included in the Full Clip Edition, as well. In our Bulletstorm: Full Clip review, we appreciated the visual boost but found the additional content to be underwhelming.
Yakuza Kiwami, meanwhile, is a remake of the original Yakuza, built from the ground-up using a more recent engine. IGN's Yakuza Kiwami review saw it as a great way to experience the first story in the series, though it couldn't match the most recent mainline Yakuza games. Sega has given fans no shortage of choice as of late, with Yakuza 6, Yakuza 0, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 all coming to the West within the last few years.

BBC America Greenlights Series Based on Terry Pratchett’s Discworld
BBC America has announced that it is greenlighting The Watch, a new "punk rock thriller" series inspired by the City Watch subset of novels in English author Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld series of books. Co-producing The Watch with BBC America is Narrativia, which is run by Pratchett's daughter, Rhianna Pratchett. Simon Allen (The Musketeers) is the show's writer, while Hilary Salmon (Luther), Ben Donald, Rob Wilkins and Phil Collinson (Doctor Who) will executive produce. The Watch will prominently feature Discworld characters like City Watch Captain Sam Vimes, Lady Sybil Ramkin, Carrot, Angua, Cheery, and Death. Allen's writing is said to be a reimagining of those Pratchett creations and others from the novels while still sticking close to their humor, heart, and ingenuity.

Here’s Your First Look at Henry Cavill in The Witcher Netflix Series
Netflix has given us our first look at The Witcher series' star, Henry Cavill in costume as Geralt of Rivia to celebrate the show beginning formal production.
In a clip shared on Cavill's Instagram page and the Netflix Twitter account, we see the actor in full costume and makeup, with the long silver hair Geralt also sports in CD Projekt Red's video game trilogy. We don't, however, see his prominent scars, or the beard he sported for much of The Witcher 3. Cavill is silent during the clip, but takes a swig from a flask to show that he's definitely in character.
Undertale Creator Announces and Releases Mysterious New Project
Following a tease yesterday, Undertale creator Toby Fox has unveiled Deltarune, a free follow-up to 2015's Undertale.
As various Undertale fans have pointed out online, Deltarune is an anagram for Undertale and refers to the symbol on Undertale NPC Toriel's tunic.
Deltarune's website contains several warnings in English and Japanese about things like overriding security protocols and refraining from discussing "the program" for 24 hours in the interest of public safety.
The site says these warnings are the final ones players will receive before encouraging them to take things into their hands and allowing them to download Deltarune for PC or Mac.
