Marvel Isn’t Even Pretending That the End of Infinity War Mattered

SPOILER WARNING: We’re talking extensively about the end of Avengers: Infinity War here. If you haven’t seen it, get out while you still can.

Let’s get one thing out of the way: No one believes the end of Infinity War will stick. With a snap of his fingers, Thanos deleted half of all life in the universe and billions of dollars of profit from potential sequels, spin-offs, and merchandise. Hulu’s Das Boot Series Is Not a Remake

Das Boot, the eight-episode miniseries being distributed in the US by Hulu, will not be a remake of the 1981 German classic, rather it will act as a sequel, taking place a year after the original film/miniseries.

This was confirmed after IGN’s own Peer Schneider tweeted out about the series, with the production company Bavaria Film responding “It’s not a remake. New submarine. New crew. New story. We would not/will not ever remake the 1981's classic.”
