Fallout 76 on Switch ‘Wasn’t Doable’, Says Bethesda

Bethesda has explained that Fallout 76 couldn't come to Nintendo Switch because, after consideration, "it just wasn't doable".

Speaking at PAX Aus (as reported by GameSpot), Bethesda's Pete Hines explained:

"The Switch is something I can say with certainty that... it's a part of every conversation with every dev we have now about what we're doing going forward, because we consider it to be a viable platform. If the game will work on it, we want it to be on every platform possible. Fallout 76 is not because it just wasn't doable."

No detail was given as to exactly what wasn't doable about a Switch version, but the always-online nature of the game and absolutely gigantic world probably had something to do with it.

WWE Evolution: Live Blog and Results

It's time to Boo the Woo!

WWE's Evolution PPV represents history-in-the-making - though one could easily argue the build up to the show has been lackluster. All we can hope for now is that the matches deliver and the crowd on-hand at the Nassau Coliseum is loud, raucous, and hungry for women's wrestling.

As WWE's first-ever all-women's PPV, Evolution is a monumental and prestigious happening. Though ever since its announcement, this past July, Evolution's been grossly shoved to the side for the sake of promoting two international supershows - Australia's Super Show-Down from the beginning of the month and Saudi Arabia's Crown Jewel, happening next Friday - which more or less serve as four-hour paid tourism commercials for those countries. Yes, Evolution's been woefully underserved, often taking a back seat to all other events while also, more recently, getting stifled by the controversy surrounding WWE's decision to still go forward with their Crown Jewel event.

Here’s When The Walking Dead Really Started to Lose Us

Can AMC's The Walking Dead survive without Rick Grimes? The ratings aren't encouraging, to say the least.

It's very common for any hit TV show to shed viewers over the years, especially if that show is serialized. For procedurals - like your NCISes and SVUs - it's a little easier to weather the storm of time and hold steady. The cases and crimes are the true draw, and the inertia can be comforting if you're looking for something to only half-pay attention to.

But shows that specialize in intense serialization - and not those serialized-procedural types, like The X-Files and Supernatural - tend to peak in the middle and wane toward the end. Certainly, there are exceptions. There are fully serialized shows that actually grow and grow, going out with a bang and getting their best ratings ever during their endgame, like Breaking Bad and (assumedly) Game of Thrones. But those stories were always building towards an ending. Walter White had to come crashing down. Someone has to win this "game" of thrones.

We Visited Tokyo’s Cute Kirby Cafe

The Kirby Cafe recently opened in Tokyo, and it's perhaps the cutest restaurant in the world.

Set within the Whispy Woods, the pop-up restaurants offers a range of themed dishes from the Kirby burger, complete with fluffy pink bun, to a Caprese salad that Kirby can't help but inhale.

If you want to see each of the ridiculously well-constructed dishes, swipe through the gallery below which contains the entire menu...

But there's more to experience in the cafe than the food alone. Alongside the cafe is an extensive shop selling custom cutlery, confectionery, and of course, Kirby pasta. Take in the entire range of merch in the gallery below...

Castlevania Showrunner on the Tragedy of Dracula

Netflix just released the long-awaited second season of Castlevania, one which we praised in our review for its nuanced portrayal of Dracula and other vampire characters.

Warning: this article contains spoilers for Castlevania Season 2!

In a recent interview with showrunner Adi Shankar, he made it clear that one of the series' main goals has been to paint Dracula not as a villain, but a tragic, doomed figure. “The best villains, in general, are the heroes of their own story and the trick to making Castlevania resonate was this idea that Dracula isn’t a bad guy, he isn’t a villain, he’s just a person consumed with darkness," Shankar told us. "That first episode in Season 1 we start to see why he wants to eradicate humans. He’s not just this mustache-curling, one-dimensional villain. What Dracula is doing is not really a war against humanity. It’s more a suicide note.”
