Kingdom Hearts’ Mobile Game Will Let You Unlock a Keyblade in Kingdom Hearts 3

Fans who've been waiting years for Kingdom Hearts 3 won't get to play the full game until next year, but they can at least experience some of its minigames right now.

Square Enix has released an update to the Kingdom Hearts Union Cross mobile game, which brings the previously announced Kindom Hearts 3's Classic Kingdom minigames. The minigames, which you can see in the gallery below, are modeled after portable LCD gaming systems from the '80s.

And there's more reason for fans to play than just the intrinsic value of enjoying the minigames themselves. By playing Classic Kingdom in Kingdom Hearts Union, players can become eligible to unlock the Starlight Keyblade item in Kingdom Hearts 3 when it releases.

Kojima shared pictures of the visit on his official Twitter account showing Conan getting a tour of the Kojima Productions facilities in Tokyo, Japan. Conan even doodled on the kitchen wall, asking “Can I have a job here?” Kojima noted in the tweet that the two men are the same age: 55-years old.

Does This Easter Egg Connect Marvel’s Avengers and Spider-Man PS4?

Update: Thanks to the reveal of Marvel's Avengers in the 2019 E3 Square-Enix press conference, we now know where The Avengers are... kind of. Although Marvel's Spider-Man (Insomniac Games) was created by a different studio than Marvel's Avengers (Crystal Dynamics), and they are both published by different companies and are not necessarily set in the same universe, we hope the reference below ties the two games together, however unofficially. Check out the trailer below:

In the Marvel's Avengers trailer from E3 2019 above the Avengers appear in San Francisco for the opening of the West Coast Avengers. In Spider-Man PS4, when you take a picture of Avengers Tower for the first time as part of your side quest to photograph different Landmarks, you’re treated to a short but important bit of dialogue from Spider-Man: “Avengers Tower, so cool! Too bad they’re never around to use it. They’re on the west coast or something. Probably surfing.” While we have no official confirmation these two games share the same world, this is a pretty overt connection. Spider-Man told us where the Avengers were in last year's release, and now this Avengers game picks up with the team in that exact location. Hard to think that's purely a coincidence!

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Gets Supersized Season 6 at NBC

Brooklyn Nine-Nine, the acclaimed cop-comedy led by Andy Samberg, is getting five extra episodes for its upcoming sixth season, pushing the total episode count from 13 to 18.

As reported by Deadline, the show will premiere mid-season during the 2018-2019 television season, meaning it will likely come in early 2019. Past seasons of Brooklyn Nine-Nine were typically 22 or more episodes long, though this boost from NBC appears to be a vote of confidence in the show.

The boost in episode order comes after NBC saved the show from cancelation last May following five seasons at Fox. This revival of the show came just one day after Fox decided to cancel Brooklyn Nine-Nine, and now it appears the comedy will get another chance to thrive at NBC with this bolstered order.

Overwatch for $12 Deal Ends Later Today

If you buy something through this post, IGN may get a share of the sale. For more, read our Terms of Use.

Summer is drawing to a close, and if that makes you feel a little twinge of sadness, don’t fret. The new Humble Monthly Bundle is here to take the sting out of the transition to cooler weather and shorter days. The early unlock for October is a little different from past months in that there’s just the one game... but WHAT a game. If you’re already a subscriber, you can start playing Overwatch, the October early unlock game, right away.

This is the cheapest way to get Overwatch. Even by itself, $12 for one of the biggest games around is an enormously good deal, but add in all the other games and it's like some sort of beautiful dream. But the deal gets even sweeter with the inclusion of Overwatch Loot Boxes. If you stay subscribed through November, you'll get two bonus Overwatch loot boxes with that month's bundle, and December will toss in one more, just in time for the holidays.
