The Arrowverse Has Found Its Lois Lane

Meet your new Lois Lane.

The CW and Warner Bros. Television have cast Grimm star Elizabeth Tulloch as the Arrowverse's Lois Lane ahead of this December's crossover. Tulloch will appear alongside Tyler Hoechlin's Superman in the three-part Arrowverse crossover, which will also introduce Ruby Rose's Batwoman to the small-screen superhero franchise.

When Lois and Clark's involvement was first announced, Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner said, “We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse. This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”

Ratchet and Clank Began As ‘A Hail Mary’ For Insomniac

Ratchet and Clank didn't start out as the Lombax/robot pair we've come to know and love.

In this month's episode of IGN Unfiltered, Ryan McCaffrey sat down with Insomniac CEO Ted Price and discussed the origins of one of the studio's most iconic franchises, Ratchet and Clank.

“Ratchet and Clank was sort of a ‘Hail Mary’ for us," Price said, who went on to explain the studio's mindset, post-Spyro. "We loved Spyro," Price said, but in order to engage with the studio’s growing audience, Insomniac wanted to create “something that was a little more mature.”

The studio began working on a linear adventure game which featured "a girl who had a stick." The appropriately named "Girl With A Stick" was set in a world with magic, "big lumbering beasts," and a darker tone which set it apart from previous Insomniac games.

Hulu’s New Horror Show Looks Like Riverdale Meets Final Destination

All September long, IGN is spotlighting the best TV coming your way in the 2018-2019 season. Today we've got an exclusive sneak peek at the first season of Hulu's new horror-thriller series, Light as a Feather. The series is based on the popular Wattpad story of the same name by Zoe Aarsen. The story centers on 5 teenage girls, who, after playing the game, start dying off in the exact way that was predicted. All ten episodes will be available to stream on Hulu on October 12.

Before Light as a Feather, Stiff as a Board was an upcoming TV series, you could find the game being played at children's sleepovers. The purpose of the ritual is to levitate the participant who is lying flat on their back after repeatedly chanting phrases like "She's looking ill" or "She is dying." Some instances involve members envisioning their own deaths. But what if those visions came true, and people actually started dying? Hulu's new series brings that chilling possibility to life.

Why BoJack Horseman Is One of the Best Portrayals of Mental Illness

Light spoilers for BoJack Horseman's previous seasons ahead. For more, check out our spoiler-free review of BoJack Horseman Season 5.

When Netflix’s BoJack Horseman first came out, it attracted a lot of instant fans because of the animal puns and obscure pop-culture references. But those fans quickly realized neither of those traits alone were the source of its strength. For a cartoon about anthropomorphic animals that lampoons the culture of celebrity worship and the entertainment industry itself, BoJack Horseman offers some of the most realistic portrayals of mental illness ever to grace the small screen.

Halloween Horror Nights Stranger Things Maze Is Terrifyingly Good

There will be some spoilers for the upcoming Stranger Things Maze at Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights in the article below.

Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights 2018 is bringing the terrifying world of Netflix's Stranger Things to life. Working directly with series creators Matt and Ross Duffer, the haunted maze is inspired by the first season, featuring familiar locations that fans of the show will instantly recognize, like Will Byers' home and the dreaded Hawkins National Laboratory.

IGN was invited to take a behind the scenes tour while the maze was still under construction. Set inside the same shooting stage as shows like Family Feud, the Stranger Things set is immense, wisely using the large space to make participants feel like they're in Hawkins, Indiana. Our tour guide was creative director/executive producer, John Murdy, who informed us that authenticity and scares were their main goals while creating the maze.

I Love the Labo Vehicle Kit’s Pedal, and I’m Not Entirely Sure Why

I vividly remember the disappointment I felt when I bought a PS1 lightgun for Time Crisis and it didn’t recoil after I pulled the trigger. It quickly became clear that, aside from the thrills of seeing the game on a big screen or gleefully wasting all my dad’s spare change, something about that plasticky kickback alone made the arcade version feel special - so much so that I continued scraping together pound coins to play the cabinet version while my copy at home was slowly entombed in dust.

Over the course of three sets it’s become clear to me that I enjoy building Labo’s Toy-Con more than I enjoy playing what those controllers enable, but Nintendo’s latest ream of cardboard, the evocatively named Toy-Con 03: Vehicle Kit, comes with an added bonus after you’ve put it all together. It doesn’t let me down like that lightgun.

Nintendo Cloud Save Data Is Deleted if Your Subscription Expires

The ability to back up local game saves into the cloud is a feature Nintendo has long touted as a selling point for its Nintendo Switch Online service launching Sept. 18. Those cloud saves, however, will be lost if a customer allows their subscription to lapse.

"Save data stored with Save Data Cloud cannot be kept outside of the duration of your Nintendo Switch Online membership," reads an FAQ on Nintendo's U.K. website. "Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online also uses the Save Data Cloud, so the same applies. However, if you keep the Nintendo Entertainment System – Nintendo Switch Online save data saved locally on your Nintendo Switch console, then you can use it again if you purchase another membership."

Yu-Gi-Oh’s Yugi Muto Joins Jump Force Roster

Yu-Gi-Oh! protagonist Yugi Muto is joining Jump Force's roster, publisher Bandai Namco announced. The crossover marks the sixth manga universe to have a character added to the 2019 fighting game's roster.

Bandai Namco elected not to reveal anything about what Yugi Muto's in-game move set will be like, saying only that fans will have to stay tuned for more details at a later date.

For the uninitiated, Yu-Gi-Oh's backstory involves a boy who loves to play a card game called Duel Monsters that's a central part of the manga's world. When Yugi Muto solves an ancient puzzle, he's inhabited by the spirit of the long-dead Pharoh Atem, allowing Yugi Muto to transform into Dark Yugi in his hour of need and become an elite Duel Monsters player.
