Total War Rome 2 Is Being Review Bombed on Steam over Imagined Controversy of Female Spawn Rates
Total War: Rome 2 has had a surge of negative reviews on Steam because players are under the impression that female generals are spawning more often.
The claim is that half of the generals are now women. According to PCGamesN, Steam user erick posted a screenshot from a negative review that made the claim that "over 50% of...generals
women."
The criticisms that have ensued revolve around the historical accuracy of the spawn rate of female generals versus the actual number of female leaders historically, although none of the players have posted any evidence of subsequent patches or updates to confirm the likelihood of female generals appearing has increased since their initial introduction six months ago.
Pokemon GO’s Mystery Pokemon Revealed as New Mythical Species
The mysterious Pokemon that has been appearing in Pokemon Go for the past few days has been revealed as a brand new mythical Pokémon named Meltan.
Revealed this morning, Meltan is a Steel-Type Hex Nut Pokémon that weighs 17.6 pounds and is 0'08" tall.
A further description of Meltan was also given on Pokémon Let's Go's official site:
"Most of Meltan’s body is made from liquid metal, and its shape is very fluid. It can use its liquid arms and legs to corrode metal and absorb it into its own body. Meltan generates electricity using the metal it absorbs from outside sources. It uses this electricity as an energy source and also as an attack that can be fired from its eye. Clearly a curious Pokémon, Meltan is very expressive and shows an interest in all kinds of things."

Nintendo’s Dragalia Lost Adds the Best Mobile Elements to a Deep ARPG
Considering all of Nintendo's last mobile efforts featured pre-existing properties, like Mario and Fire Emblem, I never imagined their next wireless foray would feature a brand new IP. Dragalia Lost, co-developed by mobile-games-veteran Cygames, seems to borrow some of the commonly best elements of popular mobile games and ties them into an action RPG with seemingly deep systems.
I played through some of Dragalia Lost’s early chapters, and for my first task, I turned in my free summon – which is guaranteed to grant a new character. Yes, much like Fire Emblem Heroes and Puzzle and Dragons, Dragalia Lost mainly relies on a gacha-style summoning system to bolster your character roster.
Instagram Co-Founders Leave Company
Instagram's co-founders Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger are stepping down from the company they formed in 2010.
In a statement on the platform, Systrom didn't give a reason for the departure, but said the pair were "ready for
next chapter".
"We’ve grown from 13 people to over a thousand with offices around the world, all while building products used and loved by a community of over one billion," wrote Systrom.
"We’re planning on taking some time off to explore our curiosity and creativity again. Building new things requires that we step back, understand what inspires us and match that with what the world needs; that’s what we plan to do."
Dragon Quest XI Will Have to Sell Well in the West for Future Installments to be Localized
In Japan, Dragon Quest is a franchise like no other. When a new main entry in the series is released, it is a guarantee that millions of copies sell on the first day, as even people who don’t play video games play Dragon Quest. The phenomenon of Dragon Quest in Japan is a legend that even many Western gamers are familiar with, and that legend continues to live on to this day with last year’s Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age.
Dragon Quest XI finally saw a release on PS4 and Steam in North America and Europe this month. But if Western fans want to enjoy future iterations as well, the game needs to sell.
“We need Dragon Quest to sell in the West, even just a certain amount, if we want to keep making

Death Stranding: Kojima Brings Down the House at TGS 2018
A special guest on Sony’s stage brought a fitting climax to Tokyo Game Show 2018. Toward the end of the last day of the show, Hideo Kojima appeared on the PlayStation stage to talk about his highly anticipated game Death Stranding.
If anything, the stage event was a reminder that Kojima is just as much of a phenomenon in his home country as in the West. Literally thousands of fans gathered in front of the PlayStation stage, stretching all the way to the back of the cavernous venue, and roared with delight at every new announcement and a new minute-long trailer.
This was by far and away the largest gathering of the four-day event. Appropriately, the first comment Kojima made when appearing on stage was “I can’t believe how many people came!”
